2.3 Yawn. Zaheer gets Smith. On a length outside off, perfect length from Zaheer. Smith - as has been the case so many times this summer - is not sure whether he should play back, or play forward. Or even play at it. He ends up hanging the bat outside the off stump without much conviction after getting half forward and gets a healthy edge that is heading to first slip. Until Yusuf at second slip moves quickly to his right and pouches it almost in front of Rohit's face at first. 16/1

22.2 Yuvraj plucks an apple out of nowhere! The best part of the catch was how easy he made it look. Tossed up on off stump, van Wyk packs a punch in his straight drive, and thinks he can get it easily down the ground. Yuvraj seemed to say, "Talk to the hand". Left hand to be specific. He just puts the left hand out and holds a ball that was traveling at some pace. Easy does it. 113/2
26.1 Yuvraj has made AB look rather ordinary with a lovely bit of spin. It's the same thing that happened in the previous game, though then, AB was wrongly given caught behind as he lunged out. This time he is comprehensively stumped,. Slow through the air, dipping on middle and leg, and breaking away menacingly. AB was lulled into skipping down the track, fooled by the flight, and was then groping in hope as it turned past him. Dhoni had a year to break the stumps. 129/3
42.3 and gone. Munaf hits back. He holds the length back and keeps it on off stump, JP looks to pull and skies a top edge. Munaf recovers well on his follow through, moves to the left of the pitch around the non-striker's end and takes the catch. 231/4
44.2 Faf has been Munaf-ed. Adjusts his line, knowing that Faf will look for the off side again, ramrod straight, without drifting on to the pads. Faf charged out, but could not have played any proper shot to that one. He's tried to work it to the off side, but the ball slips past at 135.5 kph and middle stump is out of the ground. 242/5
44.4 Munaf is throwing a humongous spanner in South Africa's works here. Another wicket goes down and this is exceptionally smart bowling. Barring the one ball that JP drove through the covers, there's been nothing to drive. This was another delivery back of a length in line with the stumps and Botha had to manufacture a shot. He looked to get forward, and then tried to force the pull, despite not having the room or the length for the shot. He got a top-edge, and Dhoni ran back to collect it. 244/6
45.2 and India have another one in the end overs. Zaheer delivers the inch-perfect yorker from over the stumps. It was always headed for the base of off stump. Robin backed away, made room and looked to squeeze it away through the off side, but there was no stopping this one. Off stump goes for a walk. 250/7
45.3 Steyn is run out. He chips out of the crease, making room on the off side as he does. Zaheer sees him and follows him, leaving Steyn with no room to play it to the off side. It is through him and Dhoni collects. Steyn tries to steal a single and turn the strike over to Amla, before realising there is no chance for a run. Dhoni runs towards the stumps and throws them down. Five down since resumption. 250/8
45.5 South Africa have lost the plot. And don't even seem to know it. Morne misses another yorker outside off, and then runs out of his crease mindlessly. Dhoni collects again and throws the stumps down. You miss, you run, I hit - seems to be the routine. 250/9

10.6 du Plessis seems to have taken a very good catch at covers. But they are checking upstairs. This could be interesting. Here's what happened: Driving length again from Morne, Parthiv gives it the treatment with another cover drive, but this time it is slightly airy. Faf at cover dives across to his left, tries to take it with both hands, with the right hand over the left. As he lands, the left hand comes off after he pouched it, and his right hand took full control of the ball. Did the ball touch the ground as he landed? Replays seem a little dicey - he did have two fingers under the ball in the end. The third umpire gives it out. Parthiv's blinder comes to an end. 60/4
3.6 And Rohit falls. Frustrating, as he has been through this series. Lopsy angles another one across him and Rohit goes for another expansive cover drive. Unlike the previous shot, he does not move his feet across. The result - a thick inside edge that crashes into the stumps. 21/1
6.1 A rare failure for Virat Kohli. Morne does him with sheer pace. Back of a length and extra bounce from outside off, Kohli committed to the check-drive into the covers early. On second thoughts, he may have wanted to leave it. It is through him in a jiffy, taking the outside edge through to the keeper 31/2
8.3 India have lost a huge wicket. The scorecard will say edged and caught at slip, but this was not an outside edge in the true sense of the word. It was short, fractionally outside off and Dhoni went for the cut. He was a little late on the shot, and it wasn't wide enough for the cut. Plus it bounced more than he anticipated. Hence the edge, it was dying on first slip who took it well. India are reeling here. 45/3
11.6 Yuvraj plays one of the most ordinary shots you will see. Short, slower ball at 120 kph, lifting at him outside off, no room for the cut and Yuvraj goes at it with a half-hearted half-cut, half-steer nothing shot and guides it straight to point. It wasn't timed well enough to rush past the fielder, or placed wide enough to beat him. India's challenge is coming to an end. 60/5
13.5 Oh, Raina. Another wicket gifted. Raina looks to upper cut over third man now. That was lifting outside off, and there was a deep third man in place. Raina couldn't have found the fielder with more precision if he was aiming for him. Well, at this rate, India might be bowled out before 20 overs. And yes, that will constitute a match! 74/6
35.2 and it's over. Well. It was too good to last. Yusuf looks to rocket-launch it down the ground. And for once, he did not middle it. I think he got it low on the bat and scooped it straight up. Faf gets under the skier. Fittingly, Morne has got the wicket, which I think should clinch the game for SA. Yusuf knew it as soon as he made contact. He was in agony the moment the ball wen up. He was livid before it came down. He was in despair when it was caught. Never mind it, he is a hero. 219/9
19.1 Harbhajan perishes. Another soft dismissal to a nothing shot. Tossed up on middle and leg and he chips it straight to midwicket in the circle. SA are five balls away from getting their hands on the prize. India can still make the early evening flight back home. Even South Africa can't choke from here. 98/7
22.4 Piyush was supposed to make the tail shorter. Well, he has contributed seven runs to the cause. Robin has turned one in sharply, past his forward defensive prod and off bail falls off. India are eight down. 119/8
40.2 Could not have been more fitting. Morne Morkel has the last touch on the ball as the series closes. 3-2 to South Africa, who were the better team through the series. Back of a length from Lopsy, Zaheer tries to crack it over the off side, hits it too high and Morne gets under it as he runs to his left from long off. 234/10
