5.1 gone! Huge wicket that! Tamim falls. What a shame for the crowd today. It was outside off, just offering to move away from the left hander again and Tamim aimed a drive but could only feather an edge, Kieswetter took a tumbling catch, diving low to his left 19/1
43.2 and Kayes' stay finally comes to an end. Shahzad deceived him with a great slower ball, Kayes checked his drive but was through with the shot by the time the ball got to him and the ball looped up gently to Collingwood at point 196/6
12.6 out this time! Looks unlucky for Siddique! It was short once more, down the leg side, Siddique tried to work it down to fine leg, but looked like he's missed it. Massive appeal is given, sounds like it got a faint glove on the way down. Strangle, but a good decision. 65/2
29.4 Jahurul falls! Shahzad yelps with delight! Brings the end to a good innings, it was outside off and perhaps just offered to move away, Jahurul got a faint edge as he looked to defends and Kieswetter took a low chance. Big breakthrough for England, they were going nowhere 148/3
30.2 oh Shakib. That is horrible. Really awful shot this, his third ball he's walked outside off stump and tried to scoop this over the keeper's head, predictably misses and it crashes into middle stump 149/4
37.2 gone! Terrible running, very amateurish. Ashraful steps to leg and chips up and over cover, the ball didn't go too far but they decided to risk a second. But the throw comes in in a flash and Ashraful is run out by three metres. They just set off blindly for the second, it was never on 174/5

7.5 Strauss falls! Shame for the England captain, he was looking very good but joy for Rubel! It was short and, with third man up, Strauss tried to help it over the slips for four, but it bounced more than he expected and he could only end up feathering it through to Jahurul behind the stumps 49/1
9.2 Rubel strikes again! Double for him! Decent pace outside off, Kieswetter flashes a drive and but ends up edging it behind. Another disappointing score for Kieswetter, but he looked good 58/2
49.3 Gone! On a length, outside off Trott slashes and gets a healthy edge through to the 'keeper! Shafiul sprints round the field screaming, back on the balcony Siddons and the support staff are leaping and hugging each other, the whole team smiling and cheering. Now they can grab those stumps 231/10
16.6 Collingwood goes! Huge appeal for lbw as Razzak spears one towards middle and leg. Ooh, that's a bit of a shocker from the umpire, there was a massive inside edge off the bat into the pad. But he's got to go! Well, seems Shane was right! 86/3
18.1 Morgan goes! England are wobbling now! Razzak speared one down flat and fast, Morgan tries to flick to midwicket across the line but misses and is struck on the pad infront of middle. Good decision, that was hitting the top of middle. 90/4
25.5 bowled 'im! Again, that wasn't too short but Yardy seemed to be trying to emulate Trott's shot from the last over. He hopped back to pull but the ball shot under the bat and cannoned into the off stump. That was quicker through the air and delivered with a very low arm. Bangladesh strike again! 115/5
34.1 and the slip takes it! Top work from Bangladesh and brilliant stuff from Shafiul! What a good job he's done in his last few overs, it was full outside off, Wright flashed a drive it flew quickly but straight to slip who juggled the chance, before taking it one handed. Bangladesh in charge here! 146/6
39.1 Shakib strikes again! Another skidding delivery, Shahzad aimed a big pull shot but it crept under the bat, hit his pad and cannoned into the stumps. Bangladesh almost there now! 166/7
46.1 gone! Broad falls! The ball was full and wide and Broad threw the bat at it, getting a good connection but slicing the ball in the air to backward point where Shakib leaps to pluck it out of the air. This is going down to the wire 209/8
48.6 gone! Chipped back to the bowler to be caught-and-bowled. Bangladesh think it's all over, Mashrafe is roaring and they're whipping the stumps out! But Bell is going to bat 227/9

Match Notes

  • Bell ruled out of Pakistan Tests after breaking foot

Ian Bell has been officially ruled out of England's Test series against Pakistan after fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his left foot while fielding during the second ODI against Bangladesh

  • A result that will resonate

The encounter in Bristol was one between a team that was expected to win and one that, importantly, wanted to win

  • Bangladesh finally find belief

For Cardiff, Trinidad and Johannesburg you can now add Bristol to the list of venues that will forever hold a special place in Bangladesh hearts.

  • Bangladesh seal historic victory

Bangladesh produced a performance of immense spirit and character as they secured their first victory over England in any format with a famous five-run win at Bristol

  • 'They thoroughly deserved their victory' - Strauss

England's one-day renaissance has hit the buffers. Two defeats against Australia with the series wrapped up were forgiveable, but their five-run loss against Bangladesh should come as a real shock to the system.
