That's 5-0 to Australia, going on 7-0. They're unstoppable right now. Ponting arrived at the crease with a clear head and played the kind of exquisite strokes which reminded you of the same batsman in his prime. All that's needed is consistency.

England let themselves down in the field, period. Too many misfields and fumbles only handed the psychological advantage to Australia. It could have been a closer contest otherwise. In the end, 299 wasn't enough.
