South Africa claim Twenty20 series

South Africa Under-19s 147 for 7 (Vandiar 44) beat England Under-19s 126 for 8 (Mickleburgh 55) by 21 runs
Scorecard

South Africa Under-19s wrapped up their short Twenty20 series against England Under-19s 2-0 with a 21-run victory in Paarl as the visitors were again let down by their batting.

Chasing 148, England limped to 126 for 8 as Jaik Mickleburgh played the only significant innings with 55 off 39 balls. He couldn't find any support as the middle order subsided in single figures with Thomas Kaber and Graham van Buuren proving especially difficult to score off. The pair conceded 17 each off their four overs and claimed two wickets as England fell well behind the rate.

Captain Jonathan Vandiar led the South African batting effort with 44 off 39 balls, while Obus Pienaar started a fine all-round day with a run-a-ball 37. England's bowlers struck regularly at either end of the innings, but the home side still had enough in the bank.

Attention now turns to the longer format as the two sides prepare for the Test match in Johannesburg next week.
