10.16 pm: Sri Lanka have wrapped up a comprehensive victory by 112 runs. Their total of 227, later reduced to 215 off 44 overs, was always going to be difficult to chase under lights. Thushara played the innings of the match - his maiden half-century - to prop Sri Lanka to a fighting total.
India were on course until Raina played a rash shot immediately before the rain interruption. They collapsed after play resumed, losing seven wickets for 33 runs in 7.1 overs.
The prize though has already been won by India. They had the series wrapped up before the match started. The scoreline reads 3-2 and the visitors won't be too fussed about today's defeat.
I'll have the presentation for you in a bit. Until then ... watch Cricinfo Sportscenter and other exclusive videos on Cricinfo TV.
"It was a good way to finish the series but the Indians played well and deserved to win it. But credit to the boys for the way we came back. We kept making mistakes through the series, we were not consistent in the batting department," says Jayawardene.
Nuwan Kulasekara is the Man of the Match for taking four wickets today.
The squads and match officials line up to get their medals. Dhoni has been adjudged the Man of the Series for scoring 193 runs and playing a couple of match-winning innings. He's picked up a car for his efforts. He comes back to pick up the trophy but he calls the youngest member of the squad - Virat Kohli - to come up and lift the trophy. He did that in the CB Series as well, it was Piyush Chawla on that occasion.
That's it from us at Cricinfo for this series. Thank you for all your emails. On behalf of all the commentators, this is George Binoy signing off. Good night!
