19.2 outside off, chased the ball away from his body, and a thick snick is pouched gratefully by the keeper 129/2
12.5 big width outside off, cut off the back foot down to third man and Powell comes round and takes the catch 70/1
21.1 and the change pays immediate dividends! The stands erupt and there are muted, relieved smiles from the players as he draws him forward and he steers an edge to Ramdin who takes a lowish catch at the third attempt 150/3
22.1 Sarwan breaks through with his first ball, too! Clarke backs away to try to cut out to point, but takes a faint outside edge - though one which was obvious enough - and Ramdin snaps it up 152/4
45.6 stays over the wicket, fires in full on off, Hussey goes for the big drive and picks out Findlay just inside long on, the fielder taking a good catch, jumping and with fingers upwards, palms showing 280/6
43.5 got him this time! Symonds backs away once more, looking for the cut on a slightly slower one, instead the edge goes straight through to the keeper 265/5
49.5 but Powell makes no mistake at deep backward square leg this time, the fielder coming round and having to reach away from his body with two hands at the last second 341/7
49.6 Fletcher makes amends this time with a much tougher catch than the sitter he dropped two balls ago, Hopes lifting up the ball towards wide mid-on and Fletcher dives forward to take it at full stretch, this time to cheers 341/8

1.3 and Johnson does the job! It's on a good length and Gayle doesn't quite know whether to go back or forward, he gets a thick edge and Ronchi's great game continues as he dives to his left and takes a very good catch 6/1
11.6 a huge appeal for one which looks straightforward enough and Umpire Ruaf doesn't need much time to adjudge that one was going on - to hit the leg stump according to Hawk-Eye 56/3
5.4 excellent catch! Sarwan knows he has to get the runs flowing and drives on the up, but it's a slower ball and he doesn't quite time it, the ball looks like clearing James Hopes at mid off but he times his leap to perfection and snares it with both hands above his head 21/2
20.3 super catch from Lee, Chanderpaul offers the skier, and Lee sets himself at long off to receive, palms upwards, and tumbles back with the momentum, but the ball pouched safely 92/4

27.2 got him this time! David Hussey holds the catch in front of the stand, Bravo holing out at long on going for the golf tee off and not quite driving the distance 129/5
28 on the legs, appeal for a stumping off a leg-side wide, Ronchi quick to take it. Fletcher very relaxed about it, but was his foot back in time? Doubtful... 131/6
29.4 in the air and a great catch in the deep to remove Ramdin, Michael Hussey charging in from the rope to take a good catch tumbling forward, ending up in a diving position but with the ball safe in his hands 138/7
35.6 got him! Johnson picks up his third wicket, bowling Powell comprehensively as the batsman tried to steer a straight one to midwicket, his bat at an awkward angle, and the ball ricocheted on to off stump from the pad 158/8
39.4 outside off, cut hard to the covers and Watson picks up a straightforward catch 172/9
39.5 turned off the legs, popped up straight to the leg side 172/10

Match Notes

  • Australia cruise to 5-0 series win

In a series that has been as one-sided as a Möbius strip, it was somehow appropriate that Australia saved their biggest victory for the final match. They completed a rare ODI cleansweep in the Caribbean with a 169-run thrashing of West Indies

  • Evolving Australia prove their depth

Last time Australia visited the Caribbean they went home undefeated and with a World Cup in their possession. The stakes were considerably lower on this trip but it was an important step in the development of a side that has lost several key members of th
