- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR32.2 the short ball works..... Martin gets the ball to kick just short of a good length, the ball climbs on Tamim's midriff and he just has to play at it. Tamim leaps, the ball lobs off the top half of his bat and gives Fulton an easy catch at second slip running forward 100/62.2 Martin shifts his line closer to the batsman and it works immediately... pitches short of a length, the ball continues with the angle, forces Junaid to play at it and the ball gets a thick outside edge through to Fleming at first slip 5/18.6 Martin hits the right length and has a second wicket.... pitches on a good length on the corridor outside the off stump, the ball holds its line after pitching and draws Bashar into the stroke, he pokes at it and gets an thin edge through to the keeper 43/210.1 Asharful goes first ball..... Martin lands it short of a good length on off stump, the ball swings in before pitching, Ashraful moves across his stumps but offers no stroke. The ball strikes him high on the pad and in line on top of the stumps. Umpire Peter Parker was convinced and replays suggest the ball would have hit the bails 47/323.3 rush of blood there from Nafees... Vettori cuts back on the pace and tosses it flat and slow outside off, Nafees sizes up for the slog sweep but it too early on the stroke. He ends up getting a thick inside edge and the ball rolls onto the stumps 82/431.3 swing and a miss..... Oram pitches this bang on off stump and the ball goes through with the line. Aftab, who was scoreless all this while tries to desperation to get off the mark and goes for a wild swing over mid-on. The ball pegs the off stump back 98/544.2 Mushfiqur's resistance comes to an end... Mills lands this one short of a length outside off and gets it to cut in. Mushfiqur goes for the cut but there was barely enough room to free his arms. He ends up slicing it straight to Bell at gully 133/939.1 inside edge..... good length outside the off stump, Mortaza backs away as usual and tries to scoop the ball over the infield on the off side, gets a thick inside edge onto his stumps 129/739.2 that's two in two for Oram..... pitches on a good length just outside the off stump, no hint of swing as the ball goes straight through. He gets a thin outside edge through to McCullum 129/846.1 and that's the end.... Mills lands that on a good length on off and middle, the ball holds its line, Islam is rooted to the crease and fishes at it just outside the off stump. The ball brushes the glove and goes through to McCullum 137/10Extras9 (b 1, lb 2, nb 3, w 3)TOTAL137 all out (46.1 Overs, RR: 2.96, 204 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-5 (Zunaed Siddique, 2.2 ov), 2-43 (Habibul Bashar, 8.6 ov), 3-47 (Mohammad Ashraful, 10.1 ov), 4-82 (Shahriar Nafees, 23.3 ov), 5-98 (Aftab Ahmed, 31.3 ov), 6-100 (Tamim Iqbal, 32.2 ov), 7-129 (Mashrafe Mortaza, 39.1 ov), 8-129 (Shahadat Hossain, 39.2 ov), 9-133 (Mushfiqur Rahim, 44.2 ov), 10-137 (Sajedul Islam, 46.1 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR3.2 what a start for the debutant.....Islam lands it on a fullish length on middle stump, finds a not of inward movement through the air, draws Cumming forward. The bat was nowhere near the pad and the ball was striking him in line of off and middle. Easy decision for Nigel Long 5/164.6 Ashraful does the trick..... tossed up faster, straightens after pitching, Bell gets forward to defend expecting it to turn but the ball hits him low on the front pad and bang in front of off and middle. Umpire Parker had no hesitation in giving that out 260/58.5 timber.... short of a length just outside the off stump, the ball cuts back in just a touch and pegs the off stump back. Fulton was caught at the crease and probably misjudged the bounce as well. He failed to move his feet and cover the line 31/215.1 Fleming loses his concentration.....good length outside off and shaping away just a little, Fleming goes for a square drive, he doesn't move his feet with conviction and ends up playing a half-hearted stroke. The outside edge is taken by the keeper 58/330.5 this time Mortaza wins the appeal in his favour..... good length on middle, cuts in just a touch, tries to work it to the on side but gets caught on the pads again. This time Parker was convinced it was hitting leg stump, at least. However, this wasn't as obvious as the previous appeal so in a sense things have evened up in the space of few balls 121/480.2 the new ball brings a change of luck....slightly short of a good length, comes in just a touch and cramps Oram for room, he attempts a cheeky cut but ends up inside-edging the ball onto his stumps 320/768.4 Ashraful gets two....tossed up on off stump, McCullum gets forward to defend, he doesn't cover the line and gets an outside edge. Junaid at first slip takes it low at first slip to his right 270/685.4 soft dismissal.... full on off stump, Vettori tries to loft over mid-on but closes the face of the bat as he makes contact, fails to get the desired elevation and Enamul Haque at mid-on takes it easily 340/980.3 he's on a hat-trick.....beautiful delivery, the ball holds its seam before pitching, lands on the channel outside off and shapes away, Mills has a poke at it, gets a thick outside edge and Mushfiqur does well to fling himself to his right and pull off the catch 320/890.6 that was a stunner..... bowled in the channel outside off, O'Brien can't resist a poke at it and gets a thick outside edge. The edge travels really fast and Mushfiqur dives brilliantly to his right and pulls off the catch one-handed. He lies there on the field for a few seconds, letting the moment to sink in and his team-mates help him up 357/10Extras19 (b 4, lb 10, nb 3, w 2)TOTAL357 all out (91 Overs, RR: 3.92, 377 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-5 (Craig Cumming, 3.2 ov), 2-31 (Peter Fulton, 8.5 ov), 3-58 (Stephen Fleming, 15.1 ov), 4-121 (Mathew Sinclair, 30.5 ov), 5-260 (Matthew Bell, 64.6 ov), 6-270 (Brendon McCullum, 68.4 ov), 7-320 (Jacob Oram, 80.2 ov), 8-320 (Kyle Mills, 80.3 ov), 9-340 (Daniel Vettori, 85.4 ov), 10-357 (Iain O'Brien, 90.6 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR44.1 Bottom edge.... Mills gets one to come on really straight, lands on a fullish length bang on off stump, the ball keeps a little low, Tamim gets forward to drive but the ball hits the toe edge of his bat and hits the off stump on the first bounce 161/145.5 loss of concentration.... Martin gets this one to land on a good length outside off, Junaid can't resist a poke at it and pushes forward, the ball gets a thick outside edge and goes to Fleming at first slip who falls forward to take it. Junaid failed to cover the line 167/250.2 tries it again but fails.... Oram gets this to bounce a little more outside off and gets it to cut in a little, Bashar shapes to cut the ball in the gap between the slip cordon, the ball flies to Sinclair at gully and he falls backwards to take the catch. Replays later showed that Sinclair grassed the ball after rolling over to the side. He was still in possession of it but the ball was touching the grass. Nobody saw it then 179/363.3 just before the break.... O'Brien bowls from really wide of the crease, gets it to slant in on a driveable length, Ashraful eyes another boundary and drives rather uppishly on the frontfoot, he doesn't get the desired elevation and Craig Cumming takes it over his head at backward point 205/480.5 thee arm ball, Vettori gives it more pace and aims for the base of middle stump, Nafees isn't quick enough and plays all around it, the ball hits him low on the front pad, bang in front of middle stump 252/865.1 Aftab falls for the trap and a pair as well..... pitched up around the off stump, draws Aftab into the drive, he chips it uppishly and gives Matthew Bell an easy catch at short cover 205/572.2 Vettori gets the breakthrough..... flighted on middle, lands on a good length, Mushfiqur leans forward to defend, the ball straightens after pitching and hits him just in line with leg stump. Umpire Nigel Long reckoned it would have hit leg and Hawkeye agrees 222/672.6 that was easy for Vettori... flighted on middle and leg, Mortaza goes for the expansive slog sweep, he gets a thick top edge and McCullum takes it easily running towards gully 232/782.2 Vettori takes four.... flighted on middle and off, straightens after pitching, Shahadat stays rooted to the crease, tries to defend but the ball catches him flush on the back pad just in front of middle 252/983.1 Martin pitched it short outside off and Sajidul pulls and gets a top edge.
