The entire Centurion crowd stand to applaud Dale Steyn, the local boy. Great scenes. South Africa sweep New Zealand with a crushing defeat. Remember, New Zealand had not played a Test since December and things went from bad to worse after Jo'burg. Again, Steyn was the destroyer with another ten-wicket haul. The top order was feeble again and did not come up with any answer to Steyn's hostility. No partnerships to speak of bar two aggressive innings from Stephen Fleming. New Zealand lost Craig Cumming, who fractured his right cheek, which was a big blow.

South Africa's top order read the same sheet, with only Jacques Kallis and Hashim Amla among the runs. Thats an issue they have to address later, after they enjoy the celebrations. Mark Gillespie, on debut, took five wickets to bring New Zealand back for a session or so before a frustrating ninth-wicket stand between Steyn and Andre Nel completely robbed the momentum back.

A clean sweep of the Test series, after winning in Pakistan. South Africa look cock-a-hoop. Victory by an innings and 59 runs.

Not hard to imagine that Steyn, for his ten wickets, including a career-best 6 for 49 just now, is the Man of the Match and Man of the Series. He finished with 20 wickets in just two Tests. What a moment for the young fast bowler.

Thats all we have for you, folks. I thank your for tuning in once again to Cricinfo for our live ball-by-ball coverage and all else. Its been a pleasure bringing you a less-than-three-day Test. Remember, the tour continues with a Twenty20 match at Johannesburg on November 23 (18:00 local, 16:00 GMT), followed by the first of three ODIs at Durban from the 25th (10:00 local, 08:00 GMT).

From all of us at Cricinfo, this is your commentator, Jamie Alter, signing off. Until next time, good bye!

Steyn to O'Brien, OUT, all over! Steyn gets ten in the match for the second consecutive Test as he splays the stumps! Simple death, pitching full on middle stump, swinging, and sneaking through his shaky defensive and South Africa fairly explode on the pitch in raucous celebration! An innings and 59-run hands them the series 2-0!

Ntini to Vettori, OUT, oh de Villiers you beauty! Dives full stretch to his right left at cover, going upwards, and plucks a complete stunner to get rid of the captain, leaning forward and driving a half-volley on the up! South Africa one away from victory! Some effort that by an acrobatic de Villiers
