It's only the third time that both teams have posted 300 in an ODI in England. What a run-fest this was. Tendulkar hit a strokeful 99 before Dravid shone with a sparkling 63-ball 92 to lift India to 329. England got off to a flier but were slowed down by the spinners - Piyush Chawla and Ramesh Powar - in the middle overs. Mascarenhas biffed a 39-ball 52 but could not get them home. The series stands tied 1-1 with five matches to go.

Patel to Broad, no run, India have won. It was full and outside off, Broad shuffled across and attempts another heave but doesn't connect.

Patel to Broad, FOUR, Another lemon cut. Another boundary. England now need 10 to win from one ball. Will Munaf bowl a no ball?

Patel to Broad, SIX, 20 from 3 and what does Broad do. Smokes a full toss on the off stump over long off. The crowd roar their approval

Patel to Broad, no run, shuffles right across the stumps, attempts a big heave across the line but can't connect

Patel to Broad, FOUR, Ah! The lemon cut. It was full in length, outside off, Broad tries to drill it through cover, gets a inside-edge and it runs to fine leg boundary.

Patel to Broad, SIX, Short of length, on the leg stump and Broad tonks it over deep midwicket. Powar runs back, catches it and tries to flick it back in but he has already gone beyond the ropes. The crowd love it.

  • The Freddie factor

Back from a dodgy ankle and the shadow of Fredalogate, Flintoff has made an immediate impact in the first two games of the series against India

  • Spinners made the difference

One side gambled on picking two spinners, another decided to go ahead with an all-pace attack but, as both captains admitted at the end of the day, it turned to be a decisive move

  • Tendulkar's ninety-nineitis and Flintoff's five-for
