4.35 pm Mohammad Ashraful can walk back with his head held high. He's played a determined innings, one that all Bangladesh fans wish he would play more often. He remains unbeaten on 129 as Bangladesh are dismissed for 299. Mushfiqur Rahim, who replaced Khaled Mashud in the team, also showed tremendous heart during his 80. Their partnership was a valiant one but it was too little and too late.
Sri Lanka wrap up the victory by an innings and 90 runs inside three days. That's as emphatic as they come in Test cricket. They've also won the series 2-0 with one to play.
Kumar Sangakkara is the Man of the Match for his 200. The Bangladesh batsmen can learn a lot from his innings. It was a patient and determined effort with hardly any risks.
Mohammad Ashraful says that one partnership, however good, isn't enough. They need to string a few more partnerships together. He also emphasises the need to put together a good first-innings total. That's precisely where Bangladesh have lost the series, after being bowled out for 89 and 62 in the first-innings of the two Tests.
Mahela Jayawardene is a happy man. Happy with his batsmen, happy with his bowlers and why not. He congratulates Sangakkara, Malinga, Murali and Vaas for their contributions to the victory.
That's about it from us at Cricinfo, thank you for tuning into our live coverage. We'll be back for the third Test at Kandy on July 11. This is George Binoy signing off, cheers.
