Scorecard

Needing just one wicket to level the series 1-1, the New Zealand Under-19s wasted little time in doing so early on the fourth morning at Carisbrook in Dunedin. Timothy Smithee grabbed his sixth wicket of the innings - he finished the match with 11 for 92 - when he ended No.9 Dhaval Kulkarni's 120-minute resistance and bowled out the India Under-19s for 232, handing his side a 73-run win.

Chasing 306 to win, the Indians slumped to 222 for 9 overnight. Kulkarni and Ishant Sharma added 58 for the last wicket in resistance, but only ten were added on the final day.

The third and final Test gets underway on February 2 at Lincoln's Bert Sutcliffe Oval.
