11.30pm Happy Waitangi Day to all our NZ followers. Hope all of you enjoyed our coverage as much as we did bringing it to you. Until next time, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf of Shashank Kishore. Cheers
Latham: Great performance from the guys. Long time between drinks to get across the line. It was probably a few more than we would have liked. For us, it's about having partnerships and we managed to build them really well. It was obviously nice to make the contribution and the way Ross played was fantastic. He has done it time and again for us.
Kohli: It was an outstanding performance by NZ. They batted outstandingly well. We thought 348 was good enough. Ross is the experienced batsman they have, but Tom's innings was the one that took away the momentum. Credit to Taylor and Tom. Look, we didn't grab onto one chance, but we were decent. Something we need to keep improving. We can't focus on too much things. Today, the opposition played better than us and they deserved to win. I think the debutants gave us a good start and hopefully they continue. Iyer was outstanding getting his first ODI hundred under pressure, KL again. These are positives for us.
Taylor, Man of the Match: It has been an interesting summer, so as to speak, good to get across the line. To restrict them under 350, gave us a chance. We were fortunate with the right-left combination and we targeted the short boundary. Tom released the pressure of me. I told my boys Hamilton is like sleeping is my bed. Southee said you can take the bed with you. You try not to have a hangover, but nice to be there at the end to finish it off.
11.13pm Riding on Taylor's unbeaten 109 off 84, New Zealand have gunned down 348. After suffering all those Super Over heartbreaks, they've snapped their losing streak. The smiles are back on the faces of the NZ players. Taylor led the way and stand-in captain Tom Latham collared India's spinners in the middle overs with his variety of sweeps. Latham holed out for 69 off 48 and then there was a late wobble, but Taylor and birthday boy Santner hung onto seal the win. This means Iyer's century goes in vain. Do stick with us for the presentation.
Jacob George: "When you have someone like Navdeep Saini in your squad, sidelining him for someone of the sorts of Shardul Thakur does not make sense at all. Moreover, Chahal would have been a better option than Kuldeep as that gives more variation to the spinning department. Kedar was not used even for an over when runs were flowing. Team selection put India down, though they batted beautifuuly... "
Shami. NZ need just 1 for Super Over for victory
