6.5 And Southee strikes! It's arguably the worst ball Southee has bowled all day but it's snagged a wicket. This is full and wide down leg, and has Oshada falling away looking to glance it. However he only manages to get a tickle through to the keeper. 14/1
33.4 Edged and taken at first slip! And both set batters are gone. This was wide and full, and draws Dimuth into the expansive drive. It's a thick edge and taken well overhead by Latham. 151/3

32.5 Mendis offers no stroke and he's been given LBW! This nips back off a length and hits him high on the back thigh in front of off. Mendis thinks about it, but he decides against the review. So NZ have the breakthrough. 151/2
63.5 And now he must depart! It was another teaser from Henry, as it pitches on off an straightens. Mathews looks to defend and play within the line but ends up edging it this time. Mitchell at first slip takes a good low catch. 260/5
57.1 Edged and taken in the slips! Southee persistence pays off, as this is yet another one on a good length outside off, but Chandimal finally takes the bait and goes for the drive. He ends up getting a thick edge through to second slip, where Latham holds on comfortably 233/4
76.2 Edged and taken! Dhananjaya will be disappointed with that. This was short and wide, and DDS just wafts at it. Gets a thin edge through to Blundell who takes a good catch to his right. 316/7
67.4 Is that out caught or lbw? Either way, it's given. Dickwella reviews. Third umpire says it's for lbw. It was a very full ball. Looped up, the trajectory wasn't different from the low full tosses like in the first balls. Dickwella got on one knee and tried to paddle again but misses it this time. It's pitching around middle and is projected to hit off stump. A big-smiled Bracewell celebrates with his team-mates 268/6
81.4 Top edged and taken! This was full and straight on a good length, Rajitha looks to work this onside but the late swing away induces a leading edge that just loops up towards Williamson at extra cover 331/8
87.6 And Henry has another! The line outside off pays off for Henry, as Jayasuriya hangs a bat at this length ball and gets a thick edge through to Blundell, who dives to his right to take a very good catch. 336/9

92.4 Rapped on the pad, given lbw. Reviewed by Fernando. That looked plumb on first sight. It was a length ball that Fernando tried to whip it across the line towards midwicket. He went across and was stuck on the crease. No bat involved and Hawk-Eye confirms it would be going on to hit leg stump. Five-for for Southee 355/10

50.1 Ripping yorker knocks over the stumps! Straight at the toes, zipping in at middle stump. Latham looked to flick it, it brushed the boot and a mess of the furniture was left behind. Didn't look like Latham could have done much about that. Fernando is pumped, he jumps as Latham looks up in disappointment as he walked away. 134/4
28.4 Big lbw appeal, given out. Conway reviews. Beaten on the inside edge playing the straight drive. Looked close but he was standing on and outside off. On first replay, impact might be outside off. It went past the bat and hit low on the back-leg thigh-pad. This could go either way. A bit of a wait for ball-tracking. Wow, that's umpire's call on impact and projection as to where it'd hit. Clipping top of the off bail. The decision stands and the Sri Lankans are happy. Fernando was thrilled. 67/1
31.6 Taken at cover, huge wicket on the verge of tea! The plan to have a catching fielder at cover pays off. This was pitched up outside off, the cover drive went low in the air and Karunaratne took a low catch. The Sri Lankans are thrilled as they celebrate. 70/2
35.1 Nicholls falls cheaply! A soft dismissal here, as Kumara drags it short of a length into Nicholls from around the wicket, and tempts him into the pull. The extra bounce however results in a top edge that goes straight up in the air and is taken easily by Rajitha running in from mid-on. 76/3
97.4 And Kumara gets the breakthrough! Mitchell's outside edge that has eluded the Sri Lankan seamers for so long, is finally found. This was on a good length just outside off, draws Mitchell forward and seams away a touch. Big deflection that Dickwella holds onto well. 291/8
58.2 Outside edge finally found, Blundell walks! Slightly back-of-length ball lands around off and straightens. Blundell looked to defend it with a straightish bat (slight tilt towards mid-off), off the back foot and tickled it to the keeper. Very thin edge. The length and movement was Shamiesque 151/5
75.3 But he's got him now! This one pitches in a similar area as the last one, but goes on with the arm. Bracewell goes back to defend one he should probably get forward to, and ends up edging to Dickwella. Huge breakthrough on the stroke of drinks. 188/6
82.6 Next-level catch at deep-backward square by Kumara, he ran to the left and dove full stretch. Was low in the air as he took it and pumped his fists as he roared. Was a length ball on the pads that was flicked in the air, got a decent chunk of it and so did Kumara but it was a chunk of grass before landing. Sent in a flying kiss in celebration 235/7

105.5 Inswinging yorker rattles the stumps, ends a blazing 72 from Henry! Was full and straight, Henry cleared the front leg and tried to go over long-on. Missed, Fernando celebrates. Henry has team-mates waiting with smiles and applause to receive him. Generous applause from the crowd as well. 360/9
107.3 Turned from the hip, it's high in the air. Deep-backward square runs in... and takes it! Went back to the back-of-length ball coming in. Tried whipping it away. Dhananjaya came in, got down, took it and tumbled. 373/10

17.6 And a tickle for Tickner! This was short and wide, and Oshada looks to cut this over the slips again, but this time only manages a faint edge through to Blundell. 47/2
11.4 Outstanding take at gully! Two short ones are followed by a slightly wide and full one, which induces a loose drive from Karunaratne. The edge flies fast to the right of Nicholls at gully, who takes a scorcher to his right. First wicket of the match for Tickner as well. 28/1
33.4 Slashed, taken at slip! Mendis plants his bat in front and looks down in disappointment. It was a slightly short ball outside off. Not enough room as it turned out. It was a case of eyes lighting up but Mendis' instincts don't work for him with around 20 minutes left to stumps. Was a sharp catch by Bracewell 81/3
94.5 And just like that Mathews is gone! Short of a length on off, shapes away and has Mathews just playing away from the body. Nicks this one through to Blundell. A well deserved round of applause as he makes his way back to the pavilion. 260/6
45.6 And does the commentators curse strike?! Yes it does, back of a length outside off and Jayasuriya pokes at this. Gets a the faintest of touches through to the keeper. Jayasuriya doesn't seem convinced, but Mathews and Sri Lanka decide against risking a review on a tailender. 95/4

82.2 Through the defence. Chandimal holds the pose after looking to play a full-faced front-foot defence close to the body but the length ball, bowled with a slightly wobbled seam, went away just a bit after pitching around off, and clipped the top of off. Bails fly and the slips run forward in celebration. The set up was brilliant. There were six outswingers since the new ball was taken. The fifth ball of Southee's last over came in, this was subtle in terms of movement. Did enough to castle Chandimal 200/5

96.3 And Dickwella nicks it! He's caught on the crease as this nips away off a good length. NZ into the tail now! 266/7
102.3 Full on middle and leg, this looks plumb! Umpire gives it out, but Rajitha reviews. Is this sneaking down leg? Nope, it's just about clipping leg and umpire's call stands. 288/8
104.1 good length on off, flat batted down the ground. They turn for the second and has Kumara been run out here? Yes he has! Kumara is well short of his crease, but the question was whether Henry, who was avoiding using his injured right hand, successfully parried the ball onto the stumps trying to gather with his left? Or did he break the stumps with his left hand first? Lots of angles being looked at here, but eventually the third umpire is satisfied that the ball hit the stumps before Henry's wrist. 298/9
105.3 Short and Asitha doesn't know much about this, this one loops off the shoulder of his bat to Williamson at gully, as he looks to fend it away. And that wraps up the Lankan innings. 302/10

27.2 And the gamble pays off! Latham looks to get back and cut this, but it turns and bounces more than expected off a length. Latham is cramped for space and can only chop this on to his stumps! 50/2
4.6 Chipped back to the bowler! Scramble-seam ball hits a length outside off. Conway played slightly away from the body and may have stuck in the pitch. He went through with a semi on-drive, couldn't check the bat before playing. The ball came at Rajitha's direction which helped. Was slow and high. He took it and popped the ball up in celebration 9/1

61.5 Finally, luck favours Sri Lanka as Mitchell drags this onto the stumps! It was a yorker around seventh stump. Mitchell stood still and reached out with his hands. Tried digging it out late. Bounced and just flicked the bails on the rise. Mitchell leaves to applause. 232/4
63.3 Yorker knocks over middle peg! Whattay ball! Angled in from over the wicket, landed around the crease. Blundell looked to slide his foot back and jam it in front. The ball swung and scooted through. Bails flew in front, sailed over Blundell's head and the stump was well back. 238/5
67.2 Nails the pull, finds deep midwicket! Was a bouncer outside off, dragged it across. Swiveled a bit. Went flat and around the chest. No celebrations from the bowler or the fielder. 266/6
68.3 Bouncer, pulled. Two fielders close at deep midwicket, DDS calls for it and takes it! Was a shortish ball that was pulled with decent timing but it was the long boundary. A bit of miscommunication there. Karunaratne got close to it before leaving to DDS, who managed to take it last second. He's a bit disappointed with the skipper who came across. 273/7
69.3 Big dive from Henry but is he run out? Throw came in from deep midwicket close to the bowler, bails are whipped off with Henry definitely short, but the bowler's hand is blocking the view from the leg-side replay. How does it look from the front? Clean. It was a very full ball that was flicked to deep midwicket. 280/8
