- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR10.2 chopped on, Atkinson strikes with his second ball as a Test cricketer! Maybe not quite as he would have pictured it, a wide-ish length ball outside off stump. But Brathwaite chases after it without much foot movement and can only deflect it into his own stumps via the inside edge of his hard-handed swish. 88mph/141kph 34/121.2 Is that a one-handed stunner from Brook? He's sure, Stokes runs forward with wide eyes and cheerful disbelief (a bit like Broad did running towards Stokes in 2015 at Tent Bridge) as he runs in for a celebration. Is it being sent upstairs? No, Louis is happy to walk. And the replays show the Brook plucked it inches above the ground at third slip. Stayed low, collapsed to the right in no time, great reflexes. Stokes straightening it off the pitch after slanting it in again. Louis was resilient but couldn't see WI though to lunch 44/314.2 Atkinson makes use of the perfect conditions! Look up, skies and mizzle. Look down and the debutant is pitching it up, decking it about with the scrambled seam to induce the drive. McKenzie's feet were stuck as he went for the straight drive, thick outside edge. Crawley was taken aback by the ball rising towards his chest. He fell back but held onto it safely. He's relieved 36/234.2 poked to first slip! 87mph/140kph from Atkinson and just enough pace for a bit of lift from a good length. Athanaze pushed at it and his outside edge flies low to Root, who takes an excellent low catch to his right as Smith leaves it to him 88/435.3 stunning grab at point from Pope, West Indies are falling to pieces! This is an outrageous catch from Pope to give Woakes his 150th Test wicket. Collective gasp from the crowd and Hodge throws his head back in disbelief. Pope was in incredibly tight at short point and Hodge absolutely nailed this, his cut right off the middle of the bat. But Pope flung himself to his left and held onto a proper Collingwood-esque screamer 88/734.3 gone first ball, Atkinson is on a hat-trick! Length ball with good bounce, no real movement in the air or off the seam and heading towards the top of leg stump. Holder looks to flick it away off his pads but is squared up as the bat face closes in his hands, and Brook holds on in the slip cordon 88/534.5 inside-edged through to Smith, the debutants combine and Atkinson has FIVE on Test debut! Three wickets in four balls for Atkinson and for England. Scrambled seam, fullish length, angling in and taking the inside edge as Da Silva prods unconvincingly forwards. Smith takes it low, falling forwards and to his left, and has his first catch as a Test match wicketkeeper. But this moment is all about Atkinson who wheels away with arms outstretched 88/638.1 skied to mid-on, Atkinson has SIX! Joseph saw little point in hanging around and looked to smite Atkinson back over his head for another boundary, but his timing was off this time. A lofted straight drive but it loops up tantalisingly, and Woakes settles underneath it to pouch a straightforward catch 106/838.3 SEVEN for Atkinson on debut, would you believe it?! This is a bizarre and pretty ugly dismissal. Joseph was looking to swipe this away over the leg side but slipped as he planted his front foot and edged up falling over as the ball flew away off the top edge of his bat. It looped up to backward point where Pope ran back to settle underneath it, and Atkinson can't quite believe what is happening 106/941.4 Anderson denies Atkinson an eight-for. It will need to pass the review though. Cuts off the cheers from the crowd momentarily. Ball was close to bat as Seales tried to punch it down the ground but it beat the inside edge and hit the bent back-leg (on the knee-roll) with middle stump visible. Hawk-Eye shows it landed around middle and would go on to hit middle and leg 121/10Extras7 (lb 7)TOTAL121 all out (41.4 Overs, RR: 2.9)Fall of wickets: 1-34 (Kraigg Brathwaite, 10.2 ov), 2-36 (Kirk McKenzie, 14.2 ov), 3-44 (Mikyle Louis, 21.2 ov), 4-88 (Alick Athanaze, 34.2 ov), 5-88 (Jason Holder, 34.3 ov), 6-88 (Joshua Da Silva, 34.5 ov), 7-88 (Kavem Hodge, 35.3 ov), 8-106 (Alzarri Joseph, 38.1 ov), 9-106 (Shamar Joseph, 38.3 ov), 10-121 (Jayden Seales, 41.4 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR30.5 As good as a yorker can get and Seales wheels away in delight! Arms wide as he runs towards the slips and lets out a roar. The MCC members applaud Crawley as he walks back. The ball was speared at leg stump, 140k, Crawley wanted to punch it straight but the ball snuck under bat. His back leg went up to get out the way in reflex, and leg stump was dinked halfway back. 153/37.2 Silence in the crowd, Seales' cheer is the only audible sound as his team-mates swarm him. This was pitched right up around 140ks, angled away through fourth stump. The shot was on and Duckett drove looking for in-swing, as Andrew Strauss notes. Duckett doesn't leave of course which costs him here. WI hanging on! 29/126.3 Lbw shout, given out right away by Nitin Menon. 128ks yorker beat the flick. Looked out to me but can never be sure with Holder's angle. Pope's front foot was on the crease, he was getting square on and got hit on the back knee. Head fell over well outside the line there. Hawk-Eye says that was pitching middle and would go on to hit leg. 123/266.3 he bowled Stokes past the inside edge, and now he's bowled Root past the outside edge. What a display this has been from Motie. Not a lot of turn, but it's the quicker one, and it lands on a beautiful length and straightens past Root's bat, which is a little late coming down to drive through the covers. Off stump pegged back. Replays show it's the seam-up arm ball, with the seam canted towards leg slip, but the seam bit the pitch and the ball straightened off the deck. Like an inswinger holding its line. Difficult, difficult ball to negotiate 287/650.4 short outside off stump, Brook flaps at it and his top-edge loops harmlessly up for da Silva to settle underneath! The keeper hardly has to move. Too wide for Brook to look to drag to the leg side, and he gets into an awkward position trying to hook. Joseph strikes and ends a 91-run stand! 244/454.6 bowled him, Motie has turned one big out of nowhere! Lovely loop outside off, and I think it may have dipped and landed on a footmark. Stokes loses control of his bat swing, plays well in front of his body and all around the ball in an attempt to whip it into the leg side, and it turns past his inside edge and crashes into his stumps. Explosion off the pitch when the ball landed 254/589.6 gone, and Anderson ends up with 0*(0). Will he bat again in Test cricket? Doesn't look likely. Looks to back away and Seales follows him with a short ball at the hip. Swats it away, but can't quite clear the man diving low to his right at deep backward square leg 371/1081.6 chipped straight to deep square leg! A bizarre dismissal. Half-volley, straying onto the pads. Woakes rolled his wrists looking to whip it away behind square but timed it so well that it flew straight to Mikyle Louis, just offf the rope! He punches his bat in frustration, and the TV cameras cut to Ben Stokes with his head in his hands on the England balcony. West Indies break the stand 339/782.5 and he's gone first ball! Atkinson got Holder out for a golden duck, and here is Holder's revenge. Lovely outswinger in the channel, angling in from wide of the crease and straightening on the batter, who's pushing quite a way away from his body, looking to play on the up. Healthy edge, and da Silva dives to his right to complete the catch two-handed 342/889.2 up in the air, but this time he doesn't middle it. But the miscue doesn't carry to the deep either. But that doesn't matter, because Louis has sent Bashir back with a rocket direct hit. Fullish outside off, not full enough for a clean hit over the covers, especially since he was backing away to make room. Had to reach for the ball a bit. Goes high in the air, falls well short of deep point. They look for two to keep Smith on strike, only for Louis to produce a killer direct hit at the non-striker's end 367/9Extras20 (b 4, lb 11, nb 5)TOTAL371 all out (90 Overs, RR: 4.12)Fall of wickets: 1-29 (Ben Duckett, 7.2 ov), 2-123 (Ollie Pope, 26.3 ov), 3-153 (Zak Crawley, 30.5 ov), 4-244 (Harry Brook, 50.4 ov), 5-254 (Ben Stokes, 54.6 ov), 6-287 (Joe Root, 66.3 ov), 7-339 (Chris Woakes, 81.6 ov), 8-342 (Gus Atkinson, 82.5 ov), 9-367 (Shoaib Bashir, 89.2 ov), 10-371 (Jamie Smith, 89.6 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR8.1 knocks him over, crashes into the top of middle stump! Anderson runs away in celebration. Perfect lengh, nips in sharply off the seam to beat the bat, and Anderson gets Brathwaite for the eighth time in Tests. 702 for Anderson. 83mph/133kph, angling in and then zipping past the inside edge off the seam 12/117.2 and Stokes finds the edge immediately after the ball change! Beautiful delivery, good length, angling into the fifth-stump channel with Stokes' leaning release, and inducing the batter to press forward and feel for it. He really isn't an easy bowler to leave. Louis doesn't do a whole lot wrong, but it curls away late, and he feathers it through to Smith 32/311.3 trapped in front, Rod Tucker gives it out! 200 Test wickets for Stokes... but McKenzie has reviewed Not too far from the inside edge as McKenzie looked to work through mid-on, but UltraEdge confirms there's no bat invovled. Struck him on the back pad, above the knee roll, but Hawk-Eye projects it would have crashed into the top of middle stump 17/228.2 got him, this has been an utterly spectacular little spell to Athanaze, and you sensed this was coming. Over the wicket, round the wicket, outswing, inswing, everything finishing exactly where he wants it to. Now he bowls fifth-stump, straightens it slightly, and the length is full enough to invite the drive but certainly not full enough to drive safely. Finds the edge, and it dies a little but carries low to Smith 55/518.3 and he doesn't need any of those fielders. Not the best shot, this. He'd pulled a not-necessarily pullable ball in the previous over, but this is far more dangerous. Back of a length in the corridor, and you really want to be very, very careful about playing those with an angled bat on this pitch, because the ball has frequently kept low. This one stays ever so slightly low as he looks to get on his toes and slice it away square on the off side, and all he manages is to chop the ball into his stumps 37/434.5 got him, the short-ball plan brings a wicket late in the day, off what will be the last ball of the day, in fact! Short, angling into the body, and it bounces steeply into the armpit area. Awkward one for Holder to play, and he fends at it and fails to keep it down. Pope dives forward at short leg and takes an excellent catch 79/637.1 beauty, feathered behind! Anderson has his first of the last dance, his third of the innings. A contented murmur from the crowd, so subtle is the skill at work - but his family are on their feet straight away. Angling in and then nipping sharply down the line of fourth stump as Da Silva looked to close the face, only to tickle it through to Smith. Vintage Anderson, drink it in 88/740.1 short stuff does it, Atkinson 10-for! Joseph is suckered into taking on the bumper and falls into the trap, well held by Duckett running around from deep backward square leg. Atkinson's debut just gets better and better (but can you now please stop taking wickets so Jimmy can get his flowers, thanx) 96/842.2 off stump ripped out of the ground! No farewell five-for for Anderson. 86mph/139kph, full and straight, and far too good for Joseph. He plants his front foot outside leg stump looking to swipe through the off side but is deceived by the yorker, which crashes into the base of off with a Simon Jones-style 'clunk' and leaves the stump lying on the turf 103/946.6 picks out Duckett on the deep midwicket boundary! Atkinson has five in each innings on debut, and 12 in the match. Back of a length, swung away on the pull with a decent connection, but straight to Duckett who takes a good catch on the rope, keeping his balance. And James Anderson's 21-year, 188-match Test career is over. He is one of the first over to Atkinson to give him a congratulatory hug. 136/10Extras13 (lb 7, nb 4, w 2)TOTAL136 all out (47 Overs, RR: 2.89)Fall of wickets: 1-12 (Kraigg Brathwaite, 8.1 ov), 2-17 (Kirk McKenzie, 11.3 ov), 3-32 (Mikyle Louis, 17.2 ov), 4-37 (Kavem Hodge, 18.3 ov), 5-55 (Alick Athanaze, 28.2 ov), 6-79 (Jason Holder, 34.5 ov), 7-88 (Joshua Da Silva, 37.1 ov), 8-96 (Alzarri Joseph, 40.1 ov), 9-103 (Shamar Joseph, 42.2 ov), 10-136 (Jayden Seales, 46.6 ov)
