9:00pm Rightly, the Meerkat Match Hero is Sean Abbott with 4 for 16 leading to a more manageable chase: "It was a little bit tricky to sum up conditions at first, but it was about going back to basics, hitting the top of the stumps and varying pace from there.

"We were fortunate enough to keep taking wickets throughout the innings. It's a very relaxed vibe amongst the group at the minute, and I feel like we portray that when we go out as a team. It feels like there's a good balance at the moment, and I feel like the guys are playing their roles really well.

"We're coming up against a couple of tough teams at home, but we've got home advantage there and want to wrap up the season."

8:54pm Barring the late collapse, it was a brilliant batting effort from Birmingham Phoenix, characterised by that opening stand of 114 between Moeen Ali and Ben Duckett. Welsh Fire, having batted well, just didn't have any incision with the ball until Phoenix decided to try and finish this in a hurry.
