5.47pm So, three down, one to go, in today's double-double header. The winner of Originals vs Invincibles will head for the eliminator. Matt and PDP will be all over it shortly. Cheerio!
5.43pm Well, that was puzzlingly comprehensive from Superchargers. Despite some at-times abject fielding, they have surged to victory against last year's champions, whose drab campaign ends in a whimper. Rehan Ahmed was gutsy with the bat, as he was with the ball, but Wayne Parnell's four wickets capped a strangulatory spell from the Supercharger spinners, with Parkinson and Rashid claiming a wicket apiece at a total cost of 42 runs.
The Match Hero is Wayne Parnell "Really special to finish with a victory. We were 20-30 under-par, but we backed ourselves. Bang it in, keep it simple, stick to the plans. Nice to be with these guys. I'm now going back home to see my wife and my kids." With a nice shiny medal round his neck too.
