So that's all from us at ESPNcricinfo. Candid words from Tamim, positive ones from Latham, and we shall end our coverage on that note. Keep an eye on the website/app for all the latest reactions from the game very soon. If you're craving more cricket, you're just one click away from following India v England. On behalf of Hemant Brar and Thilak Gowda, this is Sreshth Shah saying goodbye.

Tom Latham, winning captain: "Even thought Bangladesh had wickets in hand, we controlled them. Santner was good. We didn't get the best start, but we built through the middle in the chase. We need to adapt to whatever surface we are playing on, and today we did that. It was a tricky surface. Nice to cross the line. Conway's done fantastically well. Done well domestically and has now brought it into the international game. Always nice to win the series. Want to keep improving as a side."

Tamim Iqbal, losing captain: "We should've won this game. Bowler created chances, we couldn't hold on. The dropped catches, you know. When situation comes, you have to do things 100%. Disappointed today. Batters did really well. It was a different surface, a bit slow, 271 was a decent score. And when the chances came, we couldn't hold on. Quite disappointing. Mithun was fantastic, Mushi was well. Anyway, I thought it was a much improved game. We are not here to improve our cricket but to win. See people will drop catches. It hurts. If we took our two chances, it was game on. People don't miss catches willingly, it happens to everyone. When the next chance comes, we need to grab with both hands. We just have to be positive in Wellington and give a crack to them again.

Tom Latham is the Player of the Match. "Nice to have a match-winning contribution. We knew Bangladesh would come out fighting with the ball. We had to build some partnerships - did that with Dev and Neesh. Dew made it tough. With two lefties and a couple of offies, we had to take a bit of time early on. We had those partnerships in the middle. We had our targets as a batting unit and they adjust according to scores or batting units. We know we're always a couple of good overs from being on top."

9.36pm Comfortable win in the end but it wasn't so at the 11th over of the chase. Two wickets early from Mahedi Hasan and one from Mustafizur Rahman had NZ on the ropes at 53/3 but then they hosts pulled off a comeback. Devon Conway's 72 in a century-stand with Latham did part 1 of the recovery. After that Latham and Neesham completed part 2. And finally, Latham - while getting his century - in the company of Daryl Mitchell (in his first innings) capped off the win. A fielding effort to forget for both sides, to be fair, not just Bangladesh.

As for Bangladesh, Mahedi was a big positive with the ball, but with the bat, it was Tamim and Mohammad Mithun - who struck 78 and 73 respectively. A bit more impetus in the first 20 overs could've helped them reach 300 but Tamim did say at the toss that their strategy is to start slow and set a base. Can't blame them for that. A much closer ODI compared to the first one. We'll bring you the presentation very soon.

Taskin Ahmed to Latham, no run, back of a length, on leg. Tries to pull, takes an edge, and the keeper dives forward to catch. But doesn't carry! Nearly did though. Taskin finishes with 0/67 but bowled better than that
