That's a wrap for our coverage of this one, though do stay tuned for Madushka Balasuriya's report, and remember to follow our coverage of Tuskers vs Gladiators tonight. Cheers!

That result means that Jaffna Stallions will definitely finish third, and will play the loser of the Colombo-Dambulla game tomorrow in their semi-final. Colombo will finish top of the group if they win that. The most important game comes later this evening, with Kandy and Galle playing each other in a virtual quarter-final.

Don't be deceived by the margin of victory: this was always Colombo Kings' game to lose. Laurie Evans hit the first hundred in Lanka Premier League history, and the second of his career, to underpin a total of 173 for 4, and despite a slight scare from Thisara Perera, the Kings always looked likely to defend that total. Qais Ahmad and Izy Udana were the stand-out bowlers, while Russell made important breakthroughs despite being very expensive.

19.6
4
Russell to PW Hasaranga, FOUR, Russell shuffles in and bowls this off the wrong foot, and Hasaranga carts it away for a meaningless four through wide long-off
19.5
0
Russell to PW Hasaranga, no run, nails his yorker this time. Hasaranga sits deep in the crease, and can only steer this to point with an open face
19.5
7nb
Russell to PW Hasaranga, (no ball) SIX, uh oh! Russell oversteps, and Hasaranga heaves the slower-ball bouncer over fine leg for six with a tennis-style forehand. They couldn't, could they?
19.4
0
Russell to PW Hasaranga, no run, length outside off, inside edged into his boot and that should be the game for the Kings. Stallions relying on wides and no-balls now
19.3
0
Russell to PW Hasaranga, no run, offcutter, another swing and a miss and they need three sixes off three balls from here
19.2
6
Russell to PW Hasaranga, SIX, slightly full of a length, pace off, and Hasaranga nails it over long-on for a massive six! Down at 65mph, Hasaranga cleared his front leg and waited for it, sitting deep and clearing it
