5.2 Amir gets a big breakthrough. This is a bouncer into Chandimal's armpit, and Chandimal plays a pull shot. But the ball is on him faster than he expects, and he only manages to swipe it to midwicket, where Chadwick Walton is roaming. It's a straightforward catch in the end. 45/2
2.1 great ball first up and that's very close. A loud appeal for this fullish delivery that's 114kph, and hitting Evans in front of middle I think. The umpire turns down the appeal. The only thing that can save Evans is if it had hit the edge of the bat on the way to the back pad. It hasn't hit the bat, so that should be out. Yes it is. Taking out leg stump. The decision is overturned. Super start from Lakshan, who has actually swung this one in substantially to Evans, which is why the batsman missed it. 19/1
17.1 strikes straight away to remove DBD. Caught at deep cover. This is a head-high bouncer, which DBD tries to flay over the offside for six. Gets a good connection, but it's not quite good enough. It goes to a backpedalling Dhananjaya Lakshan on the cover boundary, who catches it, tosses it up when he thinks he might step on the rope, and then regathers it. I don't think he touched the boundary in the end, but that's good technique anyway. 144/6
8.3 floated up outside off, and Mathews is beaten in the air, and is out caught at long on! Sandakan has floated this up a bit, and turned it just a touch. Mathews tries to hit this over long on for six, but gets it slightly squarer than intended, and not with a lot of power. Chadwick Walton runs across quickly to swallow that catch. 69/3
10.5 Sandakan is making some breakthroughs. Priyanjan is down the track trying to hit Sandakan back over his head, but Sandakan has slowed this ball right up - mid 70skph. Piryanjan is through the shot early, and it goes in the air, off the outside part of the bat, to long off, who takes a comfortable catch. 88/4
12.6 huuuuuge wicket wiith his last ball. This is slowed up nicely with a scrambled seam. It's not turning at all, but the key here was the slowness through the air, and the line, which is way wide of off stump, daring Russell to fetch it from out there and deposit it over long on or midwicket - his favourite areas. That's exactly what Russell tries to do, but it's too wide for that. He hits it high in the air, and Sandakan makes sure he personally gets under it, running about 12 metres to his left from the bowling crease. About three separate fielders could have got there, but Sandakan called it early. End of a great spell from Sandakan who has taken some big wickets. 105/5
17.5 The dangerous Thikshila is out now! This is turning out to be a super over from Amir. This is length outside off, and Thikshila tries to launch this over the bowler's head for six. But he only ends up hitting it very high in the air, after getting through the shot early. Walton runs in from long on to safely pouch it. 146/7
19.6 full, wide delivery, slower one I think, which Udana tries to launch over cover. But he can only spoon that up to the cover fielder. A superbly well-deserved five-wicket haul for Amir. That's the first five-for in the tournament. 171/10
19.3 is that a catch there from Danushka Gunathilaka, who takes another one of these on-the-line catches where he throws the ball up as he's going out of bounds? It looks really good on first glance. Either way, this is fullish from Amir, and Qais hits this to long on, where Gunathilaka intervenes. He catches it cleanly, tosses it up as momentum takes him over the line, and regathers after coming back over the boundary line into play. Replays suggest the fielder has done well. That's out. 165/8
19.4 bouncer over the stumps to Tharindu Kaushal, the new batsman. Kaushal tries to swipe across the line and they try to run a bye, but I think Gladiators have done well to run a diving Kaushal out at the non-striker's end. 165/9
