2.5 Tahir gets the last laugh, as usual! Again, a big, attempted sweep. Tahir has pushed this up expecting the sweep. and has pitched it so perfectly that it goes under Gunathilaka's bat, and cannoning into off stump. Outstanding anticipation from Tahir, who bowled for that premeditated sweep, you suspect. 30/1
6.1 top edge, and taken. Tahir strikes first ball of his second over. He removes Mendis, who was batting so well. This is tossed up, pitching on leg stump, bouncing a little (was there a bit of topspin?). Mendis sweeps at it of course. And the edge goes high, and is swallowed quite a distance in from the deep square leg rope. Good innings by Mendis though. 68/2
10.4 Two in two for Little! Both set batters back in the dugout! On a length outside off, Rajapaksa hangs on the back foot and looks to carve it through point. Gets a thick outside edge straight to short third man. Either side of that man and it could have been four. End of the captain's stay in the middle. 111/5
8.3 BIG WICKET! Left-arm Ratanayake has Samit Patel caught! Tosses it up, flighted up enough to entice Patel, who only manages to sky it for long-on to take an easy running catch. Gladiators pegged back further. 85/3
10.3 That sounded good! But it IS good for Little! Runs from around the wicket and bowls it around off on a length. Hafeez looks to tonk it over mid-wicket. All he manages to do is get more height than distance. Phil Salt settles under it and takes it nicely. Hafeez's little cameo is done! 111/4
11.4 Miscommunication! And that proves costly. Shamaz looks to heave it over the on side, misses and the ball goes off his back leg to the off side. Lakshan wanted a quick run but he was the only one running. Too late before he realised it. Out at the non-striker's end. 116/6

13.6 OUT! Tahir adds a third to his kitty to end the innings. Udana made room but could only hit it high in the air. Cover settles under it and takes it without much ado. Excellent end to the innings, Tahir finishes with 3/20. 134/7

0.3 chopped on! Leaden footed shot from Dickwella. This is a wicket created by the away swing/seam of the previous deliveries. This is length as well, and again wide of off stump. Dickwella tries to push it through off with a cross bat, but doesn't move his feet, and also seams to play for away-movement, which isn't there. It takes his under edge and ricochets into his off stump 0/1
10.5 slower one gone wrong again, but this is marginal full toss, and oh my - Salt has hit it straight to deep backward square. Umpires are sending this upstairs. But the third umpire rules it a fair delivery, which I think is the right call. It was about upper thigh-height. Salt should have put that one over the rope, but only has himself to blame for picking out the fielder 90/2
11.4 two wickets in two balls for the league's top wicket taker. This time it's the big wicket of Liyanage, on whom Giants' hopes rested. This is swung over deep midwicket, but there's not a good connection, and the deep midwicket batter holds a good catch, about a foot in from the rope 96/4
11.3 holds and excellent catch this time though. This is a fullish ball outsdie off, hit over cover, but without a lot of power. Pulina Tharanga at deep cover sprints in and dives forward to hold a tough catch. 96/3
13.2 another dot! This is a bouncer outside off stump, which Zadran swings and misses at, and it goes to the keeper. Or does he miss it? Gladiators think there could have been a nick and ask for the review. And there is a nick! Zadran has to go! Probably the Giants' last hope, that. 114/5
