- BATSMENRB4s6sSR1.3 out. Kusal Perera had a good innings in the last game, but it doesn't work out for him today. This is length outside off. Perera stays at home and tries to launch that over mid on, but it hits his bat high, and he ends up merely spooning a catch to Chamika Karunaratne, who doesn't drop many. 3/15.3 length on off stump, pulled away powerfully, but that's fantastic work from that fielder in the deep and oh my, he has created a run out! Off that bat it seemed like it would be four, but deep square leg ran hard to his left to cut that off with a dive, then sent in a rocket throw to catch Banton a foot short of the crease. They dawdled on the first one, and hesitated on the second. Should have been an easy two. The fielder out there was Najibullah Zadran 26/214.2 Nissanka tries to take Tahir on, and Tahir wins out. This is an attempted slog sweep to a fastish legbreak on off stump. Nissanka doesn't quite get underneath that. Top half of the bat, and it floats out to deep midwicket who takes a very comfortable catch. 96/49.4 slow through the air, DDS doesn't move his feet, and the legbreak takes just enough turn to beat the batter's prod, and hit the top of off. Not sure what the batter was trying to do there, but Tahir is off on his big celebration. Was he surprised by how much that was tossed up? 68/317.5 tries to carve this shortish ball outside off (think it's a slower one) over backward point. He just picks up deep point instead, having mis-hit it. End of a poor innings. Stars have some ground to make up. 119/519.3 superb catch! Wonderfully done by Salt at long on. This is a slower one, length ball outside off. Chandimal puts every molecule into this swing, but can't clear the straight boundary, as he wants to. Salt is standing a few metres inside the rope, and he has some ground to make to his left, but he gets there, times his leap nicely, and gets both hands to the ball that was going over his head. Made it look easy. 134/6Extras2 (lb 1, w 1)TOTAL145/6 (20 Overs, RR: 7.25)Fall of wickets: 1-3 (Kusal Perera, 1.3 ov), 2-26 (Tom Banton, 5.3 ov), 3-68 (Dhananjaya de Silva, 9.4 ov), 4-96 (Pathum Nissanka, 14.2 ov), 5-119 (Seekkuge Prasanna, 17.5 ov), 6-134 (Dinesh Chandimal, 19.3 ov)

- BATSMENRB4s6sSR0.1 what a start for Stars! Chameera holds a tough return catch! We thought he'd have an impact, but who knew it would be so soon? This is fullish on the stumps. Dickwella pushes at it early and sends it at waist height to the right of Chameera, who sticks his hand out and collects it. One dangerous battter gone. Didn't come to him super fast, but still had some work to do. 0/18.4 top edge! Naveen slips but holds on. Vandersay gets his guy in the end. This is flat, and Salt plays a pre-meditated slogsweep against the turn. It goes high towards deep midwicket, and Naveen runs in and gets both hands to it, even if he falls on his backside in the process of taking the catch. Stars have got rid of Giant's best batter of the tournament. 68/33.1 slider, and Weerakkody is waaaay down the track, stumped, lightyears from the crease. He came down expecting one to be tossed up, I think, but this is bowled with a wobbly seam, is fast through the air. It hits the leather and skids on, and it passes the bat. The keeper has loads of time. 20/217.2 length on the stumps, Zadran tries to launch that over the straight boundary, but he's holed out! He's mis-hit that terribly. It's a slower one from Naveen, who learned from that last Karim Janat over. It takes the top edge, goes high, and Chandimal takes it about half a metre inside the rope. 129/4Extras4 (b 1, lb 1, w 2)TOTAL146/4 (18.5 Overs, RR: 7.75)Fall of wickets: 1-0 (Niroshan Dickwella, 0.1 ov), 2-20 (Sandun Weerakkody, 3.1 ov), 3-68 (Phil Salt, 8.4 ov), 4-129 (Najibullah Zadran, 17.2 ov)
