18.5 nails the yorker and Mendis doesn't even think of the review. But he's been convinced by his captain to take it at the very end. This is honing in at leg stump. Mendis clears the front leg and tries to squeeze this into the leg side. He's struck on the back shoe, right in front of the stumps. There's no bat on it. And he is walking off before tracker even confirms he is out. Standing ovation from his team-mates. The fourth umpire stops him at the boundary line, reminding him the umpire has to rule him out. He eventually does and Mendis crosses over after a pristine innings 175/3
13.2 splits the stumps with a slower ball! On a length, off pace, headed straight for middle stump. Gunathilaka makes room and looks to drag that into the leg side. Completely deceived and the stumps are split 121/1
15.5 another edge but in the keeper's range this time. Short of a length and climbing outside off. Looks to pull but can't get it away. Anwar runs off, job done 147/2
19.6 taken at deep square. Another slower ball dug into the pitch. He picks it. Brings out a big front-foot pull. But he can't get a lot of power on it. Chaturanga jogs to his right and holds on after a slight juggle 188/5
19.2 short and rising at off stump. Gets under that and sends the pull shot high into the night. But not very far. Deep midwicket pouches that with ease. They check for the no-ball and he is fine 176/4

0.2 he's got him next ball! Amir bursts out in celebration after tonking Avishka's off stump. This is full, starting from just outside off. That's the line Avishka looks to drive from, but this swings back in late, marginally, and lights up the stumps. This is vintage Amir 6/1
11.1 he strikes with the first ball of his second spell too! And this is a big one. Gurbaz uses the same template as he did before against Thushara - makes room to adjust for his slingy arm that takes the ball away from the stumps. Looks to club him over long-on. But this is a slower ball. He only manages to sky this. Deep midwicket runs in and takes an easy one. Sensational knock from Gurbaz, the only real spark from Jaffna's batting innings so far 85/5
2.1 lobbed straight back at the bowler! The slongy action and trajectory work for Thushara, and so does his athleticism. This is half volley on the pads, but TKC has closed the face too soon on it. It's lobbed back up and Thushara leaps forward to take a low catch 22/2
7.3 this is smart work from the bowler. Tossed up on off, and drilled straight back to him. He holds it on the bounce and immediately hits the non-striker's stumps with a backhand flick. And Bandara is caught just short trying to stretch to make his ground. Great presence of mind from the bowler, that. 53/3
10.4 picks out extra cover with a full toss! This is tossed up outside off, he steps out and meets it on the full. Drives sweetly, but low to Rajapaksa's left and he hangs on 83/4
13.1 another full toss driven straight to extra cover! Hafeez takes the catch, ironically. He was brought on to remove Perera in the previous over, and that didn't go to plan. No mistake with this regulation catch. It's a wide full toss outside off, Perera wants to smoke that. Ends up slicing a simple one at hip height 109/6
16.1 he's done it again! Thushara has bowled three spells tonight and started each of them with a wicket. That slingy action is clearly not easy to figure out first up. Full slower ball at off stump, Wanindu clears the front foot and looks to drill it over long-on. Ends up skying it between long-on and long-off. The latter pouches it easily 124/8
15.1 slower ball, short of a length and across off stump. Looks to pump that over deep midwicket with a pull but the angle is against him. He slices it out for Udana at long-on 121/7
16.3 tonks off stump! What a spell. Top skill from Thushara. Full slower ball with a low-arm action. Remind you of someone? Wahab looks to slog again and is through it too soon again 124/9

16.5 that's five for Thushara! Three crucial wickets and then he cleans out the tail to seal a comprehensive victory for Galle. This is short and just outside off. He looks to cut and gets an outside edge that is through to the keeper, no fuss. It's a maiden five-for for Nuwan Thushara in this format 124/10
