2.5 short ball aimed at his body. But its the slower ball, less than 120kph. The pull is not middled, and it has been skied to Karunaratne at deep square leg running in 19/1
3.2 off stump smashed! Fullish ball originating just outside off but darting into off stump thereafter. Mendis offered very little footwork trying to block it, but he plays down the wrong line and the ball goes past the bat. The delivery definitely stayed a shade low too 19/2
4.4 straight to point! Overpitched ball outside off and he drives with the bat's face open, but it's that very thing that brings his demise. Sliced to the fielder - sharp, sharp catch. That was travelling 24/3

6.5 Time for Vandersay to celebrate! Flighted around off and turning away. De Silva decides to take the long-on fielder on, but he has dragged the shot. High up, and Iftikhar in the deep isn't dropping those 46/4
18.4 Pathirana gets the breakthrough finally! Attempts the wide yorker. Turns out to be a fullish delivery but Ross is really reaching for that one as he tries to clobber it down the ground. Ends up getting just a top edge to it, and it goes through to the keeper. 148/5

2.5 partnership broken! Short-ish ball but this time Nissanka's pull is futile. Wants to clear the infield but hits the top-half of his bat and the slice is comfortably pouched by midwicket 19/1
5.3 Hasan Ali gets Babar Azam! Full ball outside off. Just a bit of movement away. Babar wanted to hit it over mid off but absolutely lost his shape with the ball moving away. Sliced drive and cover has to backtrack. Takes a reverse-cup catch. Hasan with a sedate celebration 55/3
3.5 First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then you win! Liyanage sticks with that same plan which wasn't quite paying off, and finally it does. Fullish around leg. Dickwella moves to the off side again to play that scoop towards fine leg, and this time he fails to connect. Leg stump flattened and Strikers are two down 37/2
9.6 caught and that is a LOVELY piece of legspin bowling. Warms the heart. That is spun very hard, looped up, pitched on a length on about leg, turns big, and gets the batter to play just a tad early, and the resultant lob in the air is caught athletically by the bowler, who dives to his right and intercepts it centimetres from the ground. 74/5
6.1 lbw appeal first ball! The bowler is confident and the umpire raises the finger late! Brief chat, and Perera reviews. This was a full ball on leg that didn't turn. Just angled across slightly and hit him on the front foot as he failed to get bat on ball. Impact is roughly in front of middle stump... question is where is the ball going on the projection? It is CRASHING into middle. Umpire gets it right despite the late decision. Colombo four down. 56/4
15.3 chops it on! The spinners are running it here for Aura. That was a lebbreak, but was quickish, and Iftihkar was nailed on to the crease as he attempted to punch it to the off side. Ends up getting a big inside edge that rattles his off stump. Big strike for Aura! 102/6
16.6 NOOOOOOOOR! What a spell! That may very well be a match-winning effort. This is a flat, fast, stock ball with plenty of revs. Nawaz goes back and tries to bash it through leg. The ball doesn't bounce though, and it hits the off stump flush. 112/7
19.4 full, wide of off, he tries to flay it through the offside but just gets an outside edge, which Mendis - who has kept very well - takes a simple catch going across. That's the game folks. 116/10
18.2 full, wide, and lifted, almost like catching practice, into a safe pair of hands at deep cover. Naseem was going to throw his bat, but he hit it high instead of long, and the fielder there is safe. He accepts the catch gleefully and holds it close to his chest. 116/8
18.5 another one for Hasan, who has bowled nicely. This is length wide outside off, which Pathirana tries to drag to the legside. it takes the top edge and flies towards short fine leg, where the fielder goes back and takes a good catch, the ball coming over his shoulder 116/9
