Match Centre

Scorer: @Thilak_Rama | Commentator: Firdose Moonda

That's it from me, Shashank and Thilak. Thanks for joining us today. There's plenty more international cricket on the go today, so you're spoilt for choice between a Test in Abu Dhabi, a T20 coming up in Ahmedabad and an ODI in Antigua. We'll be back on Wednesday for the final match in this series.

Here's some nuggets from the post-match presentation.

Mithali Raj: Even if we scored more than 266, it wouldn't be enough, the way the South Africans batted. Our bowling department need to work on preparation before a series. We lacked that. We are not a bad fielding side but there are things we can improve on. We missed Jhulan's experience but it was an opportunity for the other bowlers to step up and take responsibility. Our spin department is experienced. I expect them to come back stronger.

Mignon du Preez wins an award for her three boundaries in the 40th over, that swung the match in South Africa's favour.

Laura Wolvaardt and Lizelle Lee share an award for their 116-run opening stand.

Laura Wolvaardt: Sune is more than welcome to come back. This was a massive team effort. I'm fresh to the job and I used the senior players for advice and help. The plan was to as attacking with the ball upfront as we could be. We have a world-class attack. One in the top four has to bat through for us. It's something we haven't done in the past.

Player of the match is Mignon du Preez : I am sharing this with Lara Goodall. She also deserves this. I am one of the experienced players who has been in the line-up a long time and I feel like sometimes I don't always convert my starts. Laura and Lizelle set up the team so everyone else can play with freedom. It's been something we wanted to do a long time: to contribute in the middle. This is a special one. Winning a series in India, in these tough conditions, and with everything happening in the world, we are going to treasure this one.

What a success story this is. Remember that South African cricket is in shambles, administratively and on the field and the men's team are in tatters. But the women's team have given the country hope. After beating Pakistan at home, they've now defeated India in India.

And yet again, the match is won by the chasing team in Lucknow. Conditions maybe not so much a talking point though - India batted well and probably could have had more runs, but really missed Jhulan Goswami. They weren't able to tie South Africa down on a flat pitch, where we know run-scoring gets easier in the afternoon and although Goodall, in particular, played some risky shots, India did not create enough chances.

Yadav to Kapp, FOUR, South Africa have won the series! Kapp drives that through mid-on to complete their highest successful run chase.
And they've done it without their regular captain Dane van Niekerk who is out of the series with injury and without their stand-in captain Sune Luus, who is ill. Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt set it up before Lara Goodall's career-best sealed the deal.

Yadav to Kapp, no run, Marizanne comes out of the crease to try and drive that down the ground but misses and is far out of the crease. She turns back and almost kicks the ball onto her stumps but it rolls away

Sharma to Goodall, FOUR, ooooh la la! She's done it again. Goodall likes this reverse-sweep and she's played it again. Working with the turn, she gets that over the top and its another four. South Africa are a stroke away from winning the series.
