6.05pm: What a finish at Hove, and it keeps the points series alive to the last. Looks like a bit of rain might be coming in now, but not before we've had a bumper afternoon's entertainment. Valkerie Baynes' report is just going in, and we'll be back for the third and final T20I - the last engagement of India's tour - at Chelmsford on Wednesday. We'll see you all then. Bye!

5.55pm: Here we go, England captain Heather Knight: [Wonder how you lost?] "Yep, that's true. We were very good for large proportion of the game, the way we pulled it back with the ball was outstanding, showed character. Proud of the bowlers. But at 106-2 we shouldn't be losing. [Run-out?] Didn't think I could get back in, not at all deliberate by Deepti. It was what it was, given out and changed the game. [Pressure] As a batting group we've got to be better, it was a good wicket, need to take our singles and not put pressure on lower order. Strong line-up, but not been ruthless. Have to be better, shouldn't be losing those games. [Decider next week] We can't lose the series but we're desperate to win it. Credit to India, taken it to the last game, but we'll be looking to win the series in Chelmsford."

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "Great effort by our whole team, everybody knows what to do and I'm really happy with the way we played. [Wanted more runs?] We got a very good start, but for two-three overs we didn't get runs. I had to go because we needed 150 on the board. [Defending] I will give credit to our bowlers, their field placement was important, and the fielding was outstanding. We always want to win, this bubble thing is not that easy too adapt. We should give credit to our support staff, keeping us motivated."

Deepti Sharma is Player of the Match [thanks to Jemima Rodrigues with the translation]: "When me and Harmanpreet were batting, we were talking about taking it deep. As a bowling unit, the plan was to bowl dot balls, and bowl in partnerships, cut down boundaries."

5.46pm What a collapse from England and what a turnaround from India to steal an eight-run win! England looks well on top at 106 for 2 in the 14th over before Beaumont and Knight fell off successive deliveries which triggered the collapse. Tight and nerveless bowling from Deepti Sharma and Poonam Yadav, dramatic and extraordinary run-outs and excellent fielding from India yet again! The T20I series is now 1-1. England's collapse reads 6 for 31 and that's quite a fall after their win in the opening T20I. Presentation coming soon...

My colleague Sampath tells me India have beaten England in a women's T20I in England for the first time since August 2006.

Vijey: "I must India has pulled this off despite some poor captaincy, probably only due to some good fielding and the spin trio of Rana, Sharma and Yadav.."

Ashwin: "India just spun England out of the match in the last 6 odd overs"

Rana to Glenn, 1 run, sweeps it over the in-field and deep midwicket cuts it off to keep it to one and India keep the series alive with a dramatic fightback

Rana to Ecclestone, 1 run, can't middle the swing and gets one to long-on

She's fine now, or at least looks like

Rana to Ecclestone, no run, another really tough return catch put down, and it's a dot ball! Ecclestone hammered this back, Rana got her right hand to it as the ball was headed for the umpire's body and it didn't stick it. She's hurt her hand though and is getting medical attention

Rana to Glenn, 1 leg bye, appeal for lbw as Glenn misses the swing to leg, they sneak in a leg bye

12 from four now, only two shots to win

Rana to Ecclestone, 1 run, OUT, bunts it down the ground to long-on for one and there's another appeal for the third umpire! It's really close, Villiers' bat is being dragged along the ground when the keeper whips the bails off. is a part of the bat beyond the line when the bails are taken off? Doesn't look like. It's really tough to be 100% accurate with this frame by fame movement, and the decision is out! India celebrate yet again. Here's what happened again: Ecclestone was satisfied with one and didn't even turn back after completing the run but Villiers wanted another and came a long way down, only to turn back casually and realise a little late that the throw came to her end and she fell marginally short

MK Villiers run out 2 (8m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

Long on, long off, deep midwicket and deep square leg. Pressure showing on Ecclestone's face

Rana to Villiers, 1 run, she charges down and flicks to deep midwicket. Excellent fielding by Mandhana, no time for the second

14 from six, Rana for the last over. Can England do it?
