Shanaka collects the trophy and his team-mates are waiting for the group photo. Smiles and cheers in the Sri Lankan camp. And on that note, we will also take your leave. Hope you liked our coverage. See you soon.

Dasun Shanaka: I should thank the BCCI first of all to play under such circumstances. Also, thanks to Rahul And Shikhar. I have got the bowling option, so I can use them well in the middle. Not only my fielding, all the boys are working really hard on their fitness and they want to be world class. You can see all the players performed and handled different situations. I am lucky to lead this team. When a low score is set, it's good if we can get a good start. Still, the players are young, they are learning and they will be really good in future.

Shikhar Dhawan: It was a difficult situation for us but as a team, we decided we will stay and play the series. Lots of learnings for me as captain. Last game was a close one, today it was an off day for the batting unit but the boys will learn from it. We lost too many wickets today and the Sri Lanka bowlers bowled well. When you lose early wickets and you don't have a long batting, you are under pressure. Both teams played in great spirit and it's a beautiful feeling. The Sri Lanka captain and players wanted to know about my process, so I told them and I hope they enjoyed listening to it.

Wanindu Hasaranga is the Player of the Match as well as the Player of the Series. "The wicket was slow, and our spinners bowled really well," he says. "When I bowl, I always try to bowl dot balls. That helps in getting wickets. The fielding also helps. I am really happy because other boys played really well throughout the series, both in ODIs and T20Is."

Okay, it's time for the presentation ceremony.

Now Rahul Dravid and Mickey Arthur are having a chat.

Dinuk: "Did anybody see Dhawan speaking to the Sri Lankan team? WOW!! that's magnificent selflessness from the Indian Captain. These small things makes huge impact on the friendship of the two teams in a positive way. Hats off to Dhawan. "

zami: "It had goosebumps when I saw Dhawan was surrounded by the SL team and he is having a lords of advice for them. This is a gentlemen game indeed :)"

Suhas Reddy: "Happy to see SL win - from an Indian!"

Lakwin: "This series has taken back our cricket-loving public to memories of more glorious days. It also has been a gush of happiness to a win-deprived once frenzied cricketing nation. This series is also an epitome of the longstanding brotherhood India and SL share as cricketing nations. Dravids body language and fatherly anecdotes towards our youngsters, as well as all the nice gestures by Hardik and the other players have been truly heartwarming. "

Saman: "Kuldeep Yadav is the joint-highest scorer of the match."

Dinesh: "MoM, MoS both will go to Hasaranga?" --- I think so, hard to disagree.

11.00pm So, after losing their last five T20I series, Sri Lanka register a win, beating India 2-1. This also brings an end to India's eight-series winning streak in the format. Co-incidentally, Sri Lanka's last T20I series win was also under Shanaka, against Pakistan in Pakistan in 2019. Tonight, once Sri Lanka restricted India to 81 for 8, only a miracle could have denied them a win. Rahul Chahar bowled well, picking up all three wickets to fall, and even though Sri Lanka were 42 for 2 after ten overs, the target was too small to create any panic.
