So that's it from here then. The Ashes may have been retained but still there's 2 important ODIs still left in this series. We will be there to bring it to you. Till then on behalf of Alex and Venkat Raghav, signing off from the commentary desk here. Stay safe and see you soon. Ta, ta!

Meg Lanning: I thought the job of the bowlers was outstanding. Want to congratulate Beth Moooney for that innings which was the difference. Everyone struggled but Mooney battled through and got us that match-winning contribution. Darcie is great to have, she runs in hard and wants to bowl quick and goes like: 'OK I will do whatever you want me to do.' Tahlia is a big player with both bat and ball for our team with her contributions recently and it is nice to see young players doing well. It's not always the ones that have been around for a little while, it's the young kids coming through and that's the most exciting thing about this group.

Heather Knight: I thought the bowlers did a good job, we adapted well. We have batted well in one game and bowled well in one game. We haven't strung it together. The series is still there to be drawn and that's what we have to do now. We did not have any partnerships of note, their bowlers attacked the stumps and kept it tight. We found it hard to score. We will have to refocus and those two games are very important with the World Cup coming up.

Mooney: Unbelievable I think, we came into the series with one job to do and that is to retain the Ashes and we still have one more job to do which is to win the remaining two games. Just a bit of quad tightness, little bit precautionary more than anything else. Will have to manage it over the next 2-3 months with big games coming up. The bowlers absolutely nailed it. We spoke during the break to bring the stumps into play. I think Tahlia and Darcie had a great bowling plan and happy to have won.

Beth Mooney is the Player of the Match for her 73.

9.10pm: What a performance from Australia to defend a low score. Brown set the tone early with two quick wickets including that of Knight first-ball and England never built partnerships of note, a couple of soft dismissals in there as well. Jones' dismissal was touch and go as far as the no-ball for height was concerned. Sciver who was looking to anchor and bat through the innings, was the big wicket for Australia and they just used that momentum well. Lanning rotated her bowlers smartly and even though England inched closer, Australia kept their composure to close out things.

Jonassen to Cross, OUT, Australia retain the Ashes. Sharp catch by Jonassen low down to finish proceedings. They are checking for something but it's game over. Cross gets forward and punches it in the air, can't get it wide of Jonassen who bends and grabs it with both hands. Throws the ball away in delight. Her team-mates surround her to celebrate
