Cricket, bloody hell! Australia win by five wickets in what has been an epic game of cricket. A few moments again India were convinced they had won that game. But what should have been the last ball was called a no-ball for height, a massive call from the third umpire. Where to start with the rest of that game? Beth Mooney has played one of the great innings. Tahlia McGrath also played a vital hand, as did Nicola Carey at the end.
Beth Mooney "I was pretty disappointed that I left 13 for the last over but credit to Nic it was a great partnership at the end and thought we had really great plans. We were guessing what they were going to bowl, you just got to run hard and was lucky I had a bit left in the tank. I like batting there [opening] but Rach and Midge do a great job there."
Mithali Raj "It was a great game played by both the teams, was thinking it was around 550 runs today. The batting department has done really well. [The no-ball] For me it was quite a nervous last ball because anything could have happened, we didn't expect a no-ball but it's part of the game and we were all on the edge of our seat. We will continue to put up the show we did today.
Meg Lanning "It was pretty stressful watching, but looked like Moons and Nic had it under control to be honest. We lost those early wickets which wasn't ideal but there was some early movement and thought India bowled extremely well. The way the game finished was quite incredible. We feel like we have that depth in our batting and bowling and we've seen that in the first two games. Moons going up to opening with Rach out showed our versatility and nice to scrape our way to victory. Both sides had their moments then that last over had it all."
Phew, blimey, what a finish. A magnificent day of cricket with a touch of controversy thrown in at the end.
Deepak: "No Ball? Ball was dying on the batter, it was a terrible call from the 3rd umpire. Not to forget, Indians let it slip with some average bowling, bad fielding and ordinary captaincy from Raj"
Rajat Raj: "India's fielding leaves a lot to be desired. There were at least 5 misfields in last 10 overs. So many risk twos by Aus"
Right, on that note I'll wrap things up for tonight. I need a lie down. We'll be back on Sunday for the final game of the ODI leg of this series. Until then, it's goodbye from Gnasher and Saurabh.
Free hit Did the batters make the run? Umpires confirming how many needed to win. Two runs to win. Can only be run out.
3 to win, 2 for the Super Over. Mooney has faced one ball in this over
5 off 2 balls. 4 for a Super Over
6 off 3 balls
Goswami apologised straight away. That slipped out with the damp ball. Carey gets the concussion check and a new helmet. Free hit coming up
8 off 4 balls. Probably still need a boundary
Australia need 13 off the last over. 12 for a Super Over! What a game this has been. Long discussion between India's think tank. Who will bowl? It's Goswami. Plenty of time being taken to set the field
