Australia win by nine wickets in an utterly dominant display. What tricky preparation? After a slightly ropey start with the new ball they haven't put a foot wrong. It's quite a statement. Darcie Brown starred with the ball while debutant Hannah Darlington was also very impressive. The top order then achieved the chase with considerable ease, led by Alyssa Healy's rapid start. Healy and Rachael Haynes both passing 2000 ODI runs. Can India find an answer before the second game?
Darcie Brown is Player of the Match. We are going to see plenty more of her over the season
Mithali Raj says that they needed a better opening partnership and more from the bowling attack. Is keen to give new players some game time before the World Cup.
Meg Lanning is delighted to be playing cricket again. Praises Darcie Brown's aggression and control and also picks out Hannah Darlington's debut. "Feel like we can fill the gaps," she says. "Nice to have a dominant win, we talk about finishing games off."
So, the Australian season is up and running with this fantastic team stretching their run to 25 ODI wins in a row. We'll be back on Thursday for the second game but now, from Gnasher and Saurabh, it's goodbye and thanks for joining us.
