4.25pm And that is all from our coverage of this series! Thanks for sticking around and we will see you at the next one.

AnamBMDF: "Good competition throughout all 3 series and plenty of enjoyment for us. In T20 series, though BD wins the trophy, especially for Soumya and Shamim, Muzarabani's fightback for Zim is truly blessing. In the end, it's a great show for young guns. Keep it up, boys...."

Mahmudullah: The boys showed their character, everybody contributed. In the end Shamim played a crucial knock and all in all it was a good show by the batting unit. When you chase these big totals, you need partnerships to keep the score ticking over, and at least a boundary every over. I think Soumya is a useful allrounder, when I gave him the ball he got me two wickets and when we the team needed him to stand up with the bat, he did it. (laughing) Looking forward to the next bubble and the next series.

Shovik: "Soumya- we were looking for a big over in the powerplay however it came in the end. Mahmudullah and I were talking about how crucial it is for a partnership. Really happy to contribute. Your welcome Shresth" --- Thanks Shovik!

Joynul : "So what? Bring back shreshth, he knows bangla!" --- He's off on other work!

Apologies as I won't be able to bring you Sarkar's conversation at the presentation because he is speaking in Bangla without a translator.

Soumya Sarkar is the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series.

Raza: Every game we've showed a lot of improvement. 193 was well defendable on that track. Until the 18th over started, I was pretty confident we'll win the game. There was no point where I didn't think we would win, but ufortunately the last two overs didn't go to plan. To see the youngsters standing up and making valuable contributions gives us heart and is a step in the right direction. In my opinion, we've already started working on things, but 40 or 50 extras in two games will make it hard to beat anyone. We can go a long way if we work on that.

Mohd Irshad: "Identitical scores at the end of each inning by two not out batsman. What a coincidence :D"

rzk: "Really enjoyed the contribution of youngsters in the series. BD need proper talent to replace Shakib, Tamim, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah, otherwise we will struggle like SL and SA."
Sean: "With Mushfiqur Tamim Liton and Mustafiz missing I think Bangladesh did great. Does Mushfiqur comes bacl for the Australia T20is? They might need his experience against the aussies. Promising stuff from Shamim Afif and Nurul though" --- Rahim will miss the T20Is because he'll miss the quarantine deadline.
Aeman: "Well Done Shamim Hossain-good to see new and brighter kid helps to win the game. All the best-Yes, our own R. Pant."
Rafail Ahamed S: "Is Shamim the one Bangladesh have been searching for ages? A proper finisher! Is it Shamimization of Bangladesh cricket? What a talent!"
Celine : "Amazing chase by BD. "
Imteaze: "Shamim Hossain is showing promises. Bangladesh needed a hard hitter at this position badly. If he continues like this then maybe the search is over. "

4.08pm So that's a win sealed with some ease in the end. Zimbabwe were so dominant after they'd elected to bat, had Bangladesh completely on the floor and were set up for at least 200, if not 20 more than that. But they lost their way in the middle overs after Soumya Sarkar's double-wicket over. And since then, they have been sloppy and allowing Bangladesh plenty of room to maneuver this game. A case in point is how little Bangladesh had to risk in the early overs, because the run rate was still hovering around 9. Zimbabwe had already bowled 15 extras in the first half of the innings. It meant Sarkar could bide his time and get to a solid half-century, and then Mahmudullah steered them right till the end, where Shamim Hossain took over.

Shamim, you beauty. Soaked the pressure up so well. Now has the chance to hit the winning run.

Muzarabani to Shamim Hossain, 1 bye, back of a length, on middle, and he's coming down the wicket and is therefore forced to take evasive action. Ducks, sees the ball go through to Chakabva, and takes off for the run since he can see Nurul is already halfway down
18.5
1
Muzarabani to Nurul Hasan, 1 run, good length on middle and off. Late cut to third man for a single

Nurul, new batter here. Muzarabani will be looking to eke out two dots. Even better if that includes one wicket.

RASHEL AHMED OP: "Shamim Hossain could be our future Rishab Pant! Oh, come on, Why not? Should be nurtured well by BCB."

18.4
W
Muzarabani to Mahmudullah, OUT, a twist? Yorker length, outside off. Mahmudullah looks to chase a wide ball, and it takes an edge. Tough low chance for Chakabva, who dives to his right and grabs with one hand

Mahmudullah c †Chakabva b Muzarabani 34 (56m 28b 2x4 1x6) SR: 121.42

Ribhu Sakib: "What a match! Shamim is playing fearlessly. Not easy at all to come down at the stage which he came in, and play like that. Only his second match."

1
Muzarabani to Shamim Hossain, 1 run, good length, on middle. And angling into him. Backs away, and cuts to short third man for one

4
Muzarabani to Shamim Hossain, FOUR, thick outside edge! And this has gone over short third man! Full outside off, and he tries to loft it over cover, but it goes somewhere else altogether
18.1
1
Muzarabani to Mahmudullah, 1 run, short ball, on leg, and pulled to deep midwicket. Fielder stays on the boundary line to stop the four instead of trying to take a catch that was a 50-50 chance at best

Muzarabani, around the stumps.

Myers to Shamim Hossain, FOUR, around the stumps, on off, length ball. Pulled in front of square, and it's a couple of bounces before hitting the rope. Once again piercing the gap - this time between deep midwicket and long on
17.5
4
Myers to Shamim Hossain, FOUR, just past the diving short third man fielder! Short ball on middle, and he reverse paddles a shot. The tall Muzarabani at short third man dives full stretch, but it just goes past his fingertips
17.4
4
Myers to Shamim Hossain, FOUR, pierces the long off-extra cover gap! Good length, outside off stump. Slapped in front of square, and there are two fielders in the deep converging, but all in vain!
17.3
2
Myers to Shamim Hossain, 2 runs, short and wide outside off. Mistimed cut, and it goes to deep point. Shamim is struggling to complete the second, and if the throw was on the stumps, then he was gone. However, he lives to face another ball
17.2
1
Myers to Mahmudullah, 1 run, full, outside off but the slower one. Wants to drive through cover but inside edged to square leg
17.1
0
Myers to Mahmudullah, no run, slower ball, full outside off. He gets in position to scoop it over the keeper, but alas, the connection is too poor! Through to the keeper

END OF OVER:
17 | 12 Runs | BAN: 166/4 (28 runs required from 18 balls, RR: 9.76, RRR: 9.33)

Chatara to Mahmudullah, 1 run, full on middle, and the attempted leg-side slog goes to deep midwicket

Shourav Ray: ""The real battle is now". Mind game start"

Chatara to Mahmudullah, SIX, full on off. Clears the front leg, and picks it up beautifully off his boots. Flick it over deep square leg!
16.2

Chatara to Shamim Hossain, 1 run, good length, outside off. Cut square, only to Burl at point
16.1
0
Chatara to Shamim Hossain, no run, fullish, widish, slowish. Goes across Shamim, and he can't connect with the slap through the off side

Ten needed per over. You'd say Bangladesh are ahead. Muzarabani's 4th over will be crucial. But that won't be now. Chatara replaces him

END OF OVER:
16 | 12 Runs 1 Wkt | BAN: 154/4 (40 runs required from 24 balls, RR: 9.62, RRR: 10.00)

Masakadza to Mahmudullah, 1 run, caught! But survived due to the free hit Hammered straight up, to long off, but that no-ball in the previous ball meant this was a freebie for Mahmudullah. He'd probably be disappointed that earned him just one

free hit.

Masakadza to Shamim Hossain, (no ball) 1 run, full toss, outside leg, and played to short fine leg. But it's a no-ball for height
