With that historic win, we wrap up the ODI leg of the tour. It has gone 2-1 to Bangladesh, as two WTC Tests follow next week. Until then, it is goodnight and goodbye from Binoy, Himanshu and Sunaadh!

Robert: "It is almost poetic that Shakib Al Hasan scores the winning runs, after what must have felt like a fortnight from hell for him. What a fighter Shakib Al Hasan is, truly the greatest Cricketer Bangladesh will ever likely produce"

Tahmid: "It's hard to imagine the aggression Taskin brings on the pitch after watching him speaking in the presentation and smiling from one ear to another"

With that, Tamim calls upon his team-mates to rejoice and lift the trophy.

Tamim Iqbal, the winning captain: "I am a very proud man, especially with a Bangladeshi fast bowler getting a five-for, winning the series [for us] and winning the Player of the Series award. The coaches - even past coaches - have done a tremendous job. This is massive. It is a massive achievement for us seniors. I will rate this at the top. When we are touring, we can win games and series. We take of a lot of pride in ODI cricket. This is one format where we are very comfortable. The missing part was winning overseas, and we somehow did that this series. For Shakib to come and play here was massive. His daughters, his mother and his mother-in-law are in hospital. That shows his character. This feels like mini-Dhaka to be honest. The fans have been brilliant. As Russell, our head coach, says, they are our 12th men. They are always there. [Plans for the Test series] Give me a break, I am not the Test captain! I am sure we would like to do well."

Temba Bavuma, the host captain: "For me, the Bangladeshis were the better outfit. They showed us how to play. You saw how clinical they were with the bat. We were completely outplayed in this series. That's the question I have been asking myself [as to how they beat India 2-0 but lost 2-1 to Bangladesh]. In this three-match series, we certainly weren't good enough. Guys individually will know [if IPL distracted them]. They have to ask themselves, but that is not an excuse. The Super League becomes a talking point. We need to qualify for the World Cup. We have taken a couple of steps back in this series after taking steps forward against India. We still have the opportunity to get those points."

Taskin Ahmed is both the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series. He speaks while barely being able to manage the weight of both the awards: "Feeling happy and proud. This is first time for me [getting] the Player of the Series [award]. For the last one-and-half and two years, I have been following the same process. In every match, my captain always supports me, and gives me a clear role: to be fast and aggressive, and take wickets. I enjoyed a lot [here], and from when we have arrived, I have been working on my length. Just basics. I still have to learn how to get five wickets on a flat wicket."

Time for the presentations

Arun: "I'm not amazed at the result but I'm amazed at how Ban won. Watch out for the new world cup contender!"

Shahmir Haider: "What a day for visiting teams! Both the fortresses Lahore and Centurion conquered!"

A supreme performance from Bangladesh, who win their first ever series in South Africa. Stick around for the presentations.

Taskin Ahmed started things off with a stunning bowling performance, taking 5-35 as the visitors whittled out their hosts for a paltry 154. South Africa struggled to get any sort of partnership together, as Bangladesh took advantage of the uneven bounce in the pitch to limit their opponents.

6.09pm Tamim Iqbal and Litton Das comfortably dealt with a supposedly difficult pitch, notching up a century stand. Litton well two short of a well-deserved half century, but Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan had the honour of finishing things off in style, with the former racking up an undefeated 87*.
