- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR4.3 bowled attempting to leave! That was on the cards... Steyn has been keen to let the ball go, and mostly judged them well, but this one is the perfect length to ping off stump. X marks the spot as Cross strikes 14/111.6 scuttled her, stumps splayed! Wong bags her maiden Test scalp with a ripper that nips through the gate to clatter middle and off! She wheels away in delight, that's a magnificent way to get going in Test cricket. Full and inviting the shot, zig-zagging past the drive of Wolvaardt to take out one of SA's big fish 38/216.1 fullish length swings in and beats a back foot poke down the wrong line and smashes the pads in front of middle and leg. Looked stone dead live but given not out. England goes for DRS immediately. Definitely no bat on replay. Ball-tracking shows this one smashing into middle halfway up. Three reds. Sue Redfern has to change her decision. That was never in doubt as far as Sciver and Heather Knight were concerned. 44/330.3 got her, Sciver swoops at slip! Teasing line, finds a thick outside edge as Luus gropes for it in defence. The ball shoots low to the left of Sciver at third, but she's all over it, plucking the chance like a seagull on a wotsit. Cross breaks through straight after the break 89/517.4 fullish length swings in dramatically again and thuds into the pads on the borderline of off stump with Lee trying to shuffle across to get outside the line defending. Appeal goes up and given out on field. This was definitely hitting the stumps. Only doubt was whether she was hit in line. Lee has gone for DRS. It was a tight call on field and ball-tracking shows umpire's call on impact. Lee might consider herself unlucky. A 50/50 decision that goes England's way sums up how the first session has been going for both sides. 45/487.1 a special catch ends a special innings! Tammy Beaumont puts on her Superwoman cape at mid-off to fly through the air to her right and pull off a stunner! Pitched up delivery from Bell to encourage the drive and Kapp goes for it trying to pump this over the infield. She got plenty of lumber on it but Beaumont used every inch of her frame to track five yards right and launch herself to take this reaching up and to her right and sticks the landing. 276/951.4 soft dismissal... Ecclestone floats this up back of a length on fifth stump, the ball sticks in the pitch a touch as Bosch goes back to cut and it clips the top edge floating ever so gently to Lamb at bahhhhhhhhh-ckward point. Easy catch taken at neck height. 161/664.4 nicks a wide one! de Klerk falls to a loose swipe, and Davison-Richards has a maiden Test wicket. Not great shot selection from the No. 8 there, having hung around well alongside Kapp. Length ball, she was stretching to reach with a cut, just got a tickle through to Jones 202/773.6 leading edge... brilliantly snagged by Wong in the covers! Jafta is winkled out, closing the face to one that skidded on. Looked for a moment as if it would clear Wong, but she back-pedalled and then flung up her right hand to take it cleanly, before tumbling over and coming up trumps 227/891.4 bullseye! Fullish length on the stumps, Mlaba defends hopelessly inside the line and the stumps are rattled halfway up middle and off. 284/9Extras13 (b 9, lb 3, nb 1)TOTAL284 all out (91.4 Overs, RR: 3.09)Fall of wickets: 1-14 (Andrie Steyn, 4.3 ov), 2-38 (Laura Wolvaardt, 11.6 ov), 3-44 (Lara Goodall, 16.1 ov), 4-45 (Lizelle Lee, 17.4 ov), 5-89 (Sune Luus, 30.3 ov), 6-161 (Anneke Bosch, 51.4 ov), 7-202 (Nadine de Klerk, 64.4 ov), 8-227 (Sinalo Jafta, 73.6 ov), 9-276 (Marizanne Kapp, 87.1 ov), 10-284 (Nonkululeko Mlaba, 91.4 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR22.4 gem from Bosch! Fullish length delivery that looked like it was going to swing away landing on fourth stump but then hits the seam and darts back in to breach the gap left by Lamb prodding forward to crash into the top of off stump and sends it cartwheeling back out of the ground. 74/218.5 full on middle and leg stump, Beaumont plays around the swing and it hits her on the toes, huge lbw shout upheld. This looked pretty out live and Beaumont takes too long conferring with Lamb to be able to go to DRS. But it most likely would have been a wasted review. It was swinging away late and was definitely not going to miss leg stump. 65/130.1 Drama straightaway! Sciver works the full ball to square leg and takes off for a run, Knight responds. Jafta collects the throw and disturbs the stumps even as Knight puts in a full-stretched dive. The run-out appeal is taken upstairs and Knight is well short. So, South Africa begin positively to break the Knight-Sciver alliance cheaply. Jafta and Luus would be relieved. 86/340.3 Bosch strikes again and that's a massive wicket! She is really having a ball and it's her third wicket already. Bowls this full and just outside off, invites the drive. Dunkley cannot resist it and goes for it. Gets a thick outside edge that is snaffled safely by Steyn at slip. No diving around by Jafta this time. England slip further. 120/441.5 Peach! Jones has no clue of that and Mlaba has her maiden Test wicket. South Africa are all over England and make it known via their ecstatic celebrations. Tossed it up and landed it around middle, getting it to straighten after pitching. Jones looks to defend it with a small lunge but only manages to get a thin outside edge onto her stumps. She drags herself out as England are still 14 away from avoiding the follow-on. 121/599.5 what an anticlimactic way for the partnership to end! Short and wide, maybe the worst ball of the day, might have been a wide if left alone, but Davidson-Richards tries to remain positive rather than leave it be, goes to cut it but instead slices it off a toe edge floating gently to Lizelle Lee taken at head height at backward point! 328/6119.2 shuffles slightly across her stumps to play a flick through fine leg, misses and a big lbw shout is upheld. Ecclestone goes for DRS. Not a shot she would have played if she wasn't looking to up the ante in this session but they were being hyper aggressive almost in one-day mode. Ball-tracking shows this was knocking over leg stump. Review lost. 414/7119.6 another heave to the leg side on a good length ball, Sciver picks out midwicket. de Klerk fires sharply to the non-striker's end with Cross being very casual getting back in after being turned back. Did she have her bat in the air rather than grounding it across the line? This is very very tight and hard to tell from the camera angles if she did get her bat down. The third umpire says it was in the air. Very very lethargic effort from Cross. There was no reason for her to not get back in and basic fundamental lapse of not grounding her bat results in her being given out. 415/7Extras13 (b 2, lb 4, nb 2, w 5)TOTAL417/8d (120 Overs, RR: 3.47)Fall of wickets: 1-65 (Tammy Beaumont, 18.5 ov), 2-74 (Emma Lamb, 22.4 ov), 3-86 (Heather Knight, 30.1 ov), 4-120 (Sophia Dunkley, 40.3 ov), 5-121 (Amy Jones, 41.5 ov), 6-328 (Alice Davidson-Richards, 99.5 ov), 7-414 (Sophie Ecclestone, 119.2 ov), 8-417 (Kate Cross, 119.6 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR3.3 slices this straight to Sciver at gully! Pitched up on fifth stump to encourage the drive, Steyn is sucked into the shot but a touch of away swing draws an edge and it flies low to Sciver, who is fielding very close in at gully, and it carries to her at shin height as she clutches on falling forward on her knees. 9/120.6 And Wong has the big fish. England are all over South Africa and Wong's pace has done the trick in the dying moments of the day. She had Wolvaardt wafting at one earlier in the over and now edges one to gully. Length ball outside off, climbs a tad more, another nothing short from the South Africa opener, gives a catch straight to Sciver, who takes it low down to her right with a dive. South Africa trail by 88. 45/318.5 Nicked off? Yes says the umpire and Goodall walks back with a sheepish look on her face. Superb spell this by Wong and she has gotten the just reward. Goodall was on the back foot after the previous short one expecting another one. But this one is speared full down leg. She's got into a tangle and looks to flick it away and all she manages is a feather down leg. Jones dives to her right to take that smartly and that's a good wicket at this hour. 44/233.1 Appeal for LBW, it's given! Luus does not review It was a length ball that was coming in, Luus shuffled across and tried to flick the ball through square leg. She fell over as the ball hit the pad. She had a chat with the non-striker and decided not to go upstairs. Haek-Eye says it's clipping leg stump, umpire's call. Would have stayed out had it been reviewed. 64/448.6 Lee has thrown it away! England's bowlers kept on teasing her by continuing to pitch it up full and wide and Ecclestone finally gets Lee with a sucker ball floated full on seventh stump. She goes for a booming lofted drive trying to go over extra cover but gets under this too much and it skies over wide mid-off for Cross to backpedal and take a sharp tumbling over the shoulder catch after ranging 20 yards diagonally to her left. 118/5Extras14 (b 7, lb 4, w 3)TOTAL181/5 (68.1 Overs, RR: 2.65)Fall of wickets: 1-9 (Andrie Steyn, 3.3 ov), 2-44 (Lara Goodall, 18.5 ov), 3-45 (Laura Wolvaardt, 20.6 ov), 4-64 (Sune Luus, 33.1 ov), 5-118 (Lizelle Lee, 48.6 ov)
