8.50pm: So England get off to a winning start in Group B, seeing off Sri Lanka by five wickets with 17 balls to spare. Wickets fell at awkward moments, but Alice Capsey had ice in her veins (as well as a shiner on her cheek) to get them most of the way there. Anyway, a bumper crowd at Edgbaston has had their night's entertainment, and we'll be back for more tomorrow with a full schedule that includes India-Pakistan at the CWG and the finale of the white-ball summer for England's men. Ciao!
