This result sets up the ODI series beautifully. Do join us for the coverage of the ODI Series as well. Till then, good night from me and Vairavan
Ervine: we struggled a little bit upfront. That one over pushed the momentum back in our favour. We came with the plan that our reserve players were as good as players in the XI. We could've easily fallen over today but the guys showed the fight
Sikandar Raza is the Player of the Series: I hope we don't refer this to as a purple patch and there are a better things to come. We have this mantra going that no matter how bad the situation, we can go on and win the match. It's up to us senior players to raise our hand and make it count - to contribute to the team's cause. To see the younger players raise their hands and do the needful is delightful to see
Burl is the Player of the match: Losing a few wickets early up wasn't ideal. Just trusting the process and keeping the options positive was crucial
Mossadek: First 14 overs we were on top and the 15th over was the difference in the game. Afif striked very well. Everyone knows how good we are in ODI's and hopefully we play well
The penultimate over bowled by Nyauchi was a stellar one and 19 runs off the final over was going to be a tough ask. One could say that Afif buckled under pressure as the decision to take the single of the first ball of the over was a poor one.
Joydeepsinghgil: "Especially of This match credit goes to Burl and jongwe for set the platform for Zim to win this series and to theirs all bowlers this are the main precursor for them to win this match and series either "
Nyauchi's two early wickets, Sikandar Raza's economical 4-overs, Brad Evans' two wickets in two balls. Sikandar Raza's catching towards the end. Everybody chipped in in one way or another while Zimbabwe were bowling
First T20I series win for Zimbabwe over Bangladesh. How big is it? At 76/6 after 14 overs, Zimbabwe seemed to be down in the dumps, but Burl took 34-runs off Nasum's over. How important was the 79-run partnership between Jongwe and Burl? It came off just 31 balls. The counterattack did seem to rattle Bangladesh as they ended up chasing 157 instead of a target around 110
