That's it from us today. Hope you all enjoyed our coverage. Come back tomorrow for the Eliminator. Until then, I am Srinidhi Ramanujam signing off on behalf of our scorer K Vairavan. Good night and take care!
Naib: "When you play a good game in your past and then you remind yourself and that so it's a positive sign. So I got reminded of the two fifties. Today also my mind was clear. Because I'm used to a lot of these and especially today is a very tough game. Semi-final is not an easy game. But luckily I just put some time in the wicket and luckily Billings got on the other side and then I tried to run him out but it's a part of the game but yeah. I can play any position and I love to bat on and but number three is now lucky. As you can say so I opened also and I was available to bat everywhere but yeah you can say it's a lucky number now."
Billings: "[on facing Hasaranga] Absolutely, someone has to go over him, he has taken me a couple of times. I was disappointed with how we played with the ball, we were off with the ball, we had plans. Hales got off to a great start. Score was slightly over par, but dew came in and things went our way. We can play a lot better than what we did today; last three games we have done well and different people stepping up in different games. Warner gets an extra few days. But Rossington played beautifully tonight, that will be a selection headache too. [on Naib] He's played beautifully, had a little bit of luck along the way but he is a quality cricketer, hope he continues."
Ferguson: "Just a little hamstring issue, unfortunate. Tough night. I wish I could have bowled the last ball. It was great game of cricket, obviously dew came on and made the game difficult. Unfortunate to not have come out on top. I thought it was a great total but it's T20 cricket. Hales played well."
Time for presentation.
10.05pm: Uff, what a game of cricket! A dramatic game that went down the wire, to the last ball but Capitals pulled it off, chased 190 with five wickets in hands to qualify for the title clash of the ILT20 2025. One needed off the last ball and Raza took them over the line. But it was Naib's day, with the ball, with the bat and on the field. He took two wickets, completed two catches when others were sloppy and smashed a 39-ball 62 to outshine Hales' 67. Billings also played a super cameo of 38 off 16 balls to lift Capitals after Rossington's brisk start. Vipers will be disappointed to not have defended 12 off the final over. They also dropped catches and lost Ferguson to hamstring strain before the final ball of the final over. However, they will have one more chance to qualify for the final.
One needed off the last ball. Are we heading towards Super Over? More drama. Ferguson walks off the field due to a hamstring strain. Amir has the ball. Keeper standing up to the stumps. Raza is the batter
