Wells went launching it back, but the bat seemed to have turned in his hands. That could be why there wasn't much force in the shot, and hence the ball didn't travel all that far 104/4

Perera ended up a few steps behind, and gobbled that up in the end. It was another slower ball from Farooqi, who bowled on the fuller side of a length outside off. Southee looked to clip but got a leading edge, as he seemed to have closed the face of the bat early 155/7
