The batter has a wild swipe across the line and is beaten by the movement and the lack of pace. Sees his off stump lying flat on the ground, and also sees the joy on Ibrar's face while trying to hide his own disappointment at having not been able to convert a promising start. 9.6 has Banton been run out?! Certainly looks like it! Darted in on a length on the pads. Waseem plays all around it and the ball rolls off the pad towards short fine leg. Banton tries to pinch a run but that always seemed a risky proposition. Willey swoops in, picks it up and throws down the stumps at the batter's end, with Banton comfortably short. Has an ungainly swipe at it, though, and the extra bounce Holder generates means he splices it. Mid off runs back, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes it calmly over his right shoulder. 13.3 Ali Khan whistles through Pollard's defences, and acts like nothing has happened! This is another superb full delivery that seems to tail in late. Pollard looks to flick it away but the ball breezes past his bat before smashing into leg stump. What a ball, and Ali Khan has broken this game wide open! 102/4

15.5 Ali Khan has another! Full outside off. Mousley skips down the track and looks to go downtown. Does not get under it enough, though, and arrows it flat to Evans' left. 3.5 lbw appeal, run-out shout and eventually a review - it is all happening here! Slower ball on a full length on middle stump. The ball nips back and raps Mayers on the pad. Seemed to be heading down and that is perhaps what umpire Alex Wharf thought too. Mayers then tries to pinch a run and gets sent back. Has to dive to regain his ground and matters are complicated with a direct hit by Mousley. Among all of that, MI Emirates decide to review, although this could be one in vain. The lbw review was, as expected, injudicious, with the ball heading well down leg. But MI Emirates experience success on the run-out. The bat is in the air, despite being past the line and Mayers has to trudge back. What a sequence of events and in the end, MI Emirates have their first wicket of the evening! 39/1

12.6 catching practice for Pollard! Slower ball that lands in the slot outside off. This is there to be punished but Gous, having lost all rhythm in the past thirty minutes or so, shanks it straight down long on's throat. A nothing shot really and that is emblematic of this run-chase! 88/6

4.3 massive appeal, and the umpire raises his finger! Slanted in on a length on middle stump. Clarke moves across his stumps and looks to sweep it away. Seems to miss the ball altogether and gets pinned in front. Seemed pretty straight in real-time too but Clarke wants to have another look. No bat or glove involved, and Ball Tracking reckons the ball would have crashed into leg stump. Clarke has to go and he takes a review along with him! 47/2

5.3 edged and gone! Shepherd has his revenge and he has his man! This is fuller, in the fifth stump channel. Pepper looks to smash it over mid off and into next week but loses his shape just a little. Gets a healthy outside edge and Pooran makes no mistake behind the stumps. 5.6 hot knife through butter, and Sharafu is outta here! Hard length again, pitching just outside off and decking back in sharply. Sharafu does not account for the inward movement and is cut in half. The ball whistles past his bat and thunders into the top of off stump. Shepherd can do no wrong tonight! 56/4

11.6 goes for the slog and loses his stumps! Salamkheil puts Evans out of his misery! This is slower and fuller at the stumps. Evans thinks this is the ball to get his innings going and tries to smash it into the gulf. Misses the ball by an absolute mile and hears the death rattle soon after. Salamkheil is pumped; Evans, the exact opposite as he storms off! 83/5

17.3 Narine bites the dust! Slower ball hung up on a length wide outside off. Narine goes chasing after it and looks to go inside-out. Not enough pace to work with, though, and he slices it tamely towards cover. Hosein runs after it to his right and sprawls to complete a smart catch. Big wicket in the context of the game! 138/7

18.1 Farooqi bursts through Willey's off stump! Sizzling yorker that seems to tail in very late. Willey cannot react in time and the ball whizzes past his bat before leaving off stump in an absolute mess. Not much you can do about that, and Farooqi barely cracks a smile! 145/8

19.3 goes straight up and what a grab by Banton! Hard length outside off. Holder swings at it because, well, why not. Gets it completely wrong, though, and skies it. Banton makes up lots of ground to his left from long on, slides and scoops it up while sprawling across the turf. A magnificent catch! 156/9
