Scorer: M Venkat Raghav | Commentator: @himanshu_a30

A complete performance from India: runs for Pujara, Gill and Iyer; wickets for Kuldeep and Axar; and a 1-0 lead in the series. But they might be in the dilemma of who to leave out if regular captain Rohit Sharma is fit for the second Test: a spinner, or a batter? Anyway, we direct you to the live action in Brisbane. Thanks for your company for this Test though, as Raghav, Hemant and me, Himanshu, bid you goodbye!

KL Rahul, the winning captain: "We've been here for a while, and one-day series didn't go how we wanted it to. A hard-fought Test, and really happy we won. The pitch did flatten out - it did worry us - but in the first few innings, it was difficult to get runs. Important that the lower order contributes. Shubman and Puji utilised the opportunity, and got hundreds. Seamers got wickets in the first innings... we've always had a good bowling attack."

Kuldeep Yadav is the Player of the Match for a match haul of 8 for 113, and a 40: "Happy with my performance, both with bat and ball. In the first innings, the wicket was quicker than in the first. I was bowling quicker in the second innings. Probably more revs on the ball makes batsmen step down, and plenty of variation as well. That makes it difficult for batsmen to pick which one is to come."

Shakib Al Hasan speaks first: "It was a good wicket to bat on, but we didn't bat well [in the first innings]. There should be no excuse. Lot of credit to India, as they created pressure. Zakir has been scoring lots of runs in domestic cricket. Hopefully many more hundreds to come."

Bhaskar: "Is this Rahul's first victory as Test Captain?" --- Yup, he had lost one in South Africa early this year

A good cricket pitch in the end: slow turn to start off the first few days, before it eased out for batting, as Zakir and Shanto showed yesterday. But the ball kept turning and bouncing for Ashwin, Kuldeep and Axar, as India kept pushing Bangladesh back at regular intervals. Hang around with us for the presentations.

Udit: "Kuldeep contributed with both bat and ball! He should get the POTM"

Abuzar Belgod: "MoM, Pujara or Kuldeep?" --- Tricky, but I'd guess Pujara holds the edge

10.19am Bangladesh fought hard and dragged this into the fifth morning, before Kuldeep and Axar coolly wrapped it up. Four wickets for the orthodox spinner, and three for the wristspinner. The hosts take back positives with Zakir's gritty debut hundred, Shanto's return to form, and an encouraging performance from Taijul, Shakib and Ebadot.

Patel to Taijul Islam, OUT, bowled him! Axar bowls on a good length just outside off, as it turns back in to hit off stump and beat his angled bat, pushing to the off side. India take a 1-0 lead in the series, as victory by 188 runs confirms
