Australia win the first T20I comfortably and remain on track to sweep Pakistan in all six games across the ODIs and T20Is. The visitors continue to get some valuable learnings moving forward but it's a big ask for them to pinch a game in the two remaining matches. Join us again for game two on Thursday from Blundstone Arena in Hobart. Thanks for your company today.
Megan Schutt is Player of the Match: "It was the kind of pitch out there today for [the leg cutter]. It actually died quite quickly. I was expecting a bit more bounce and I need a bit for my bowling and soon as I saw that I thought it was best to go change of pace and it was pretty effective towards the end. I couldn't get a wicket in the ODIs. It's nice to come out here and bag a few. It's a pretty important lead up. We feel that South African conditions are going to be pretty similar to Australian conditions. It's about perfecting the little things and trying some little things as well."
4.22pm Australia win by 8 wickets with 38 balls to spare. The gulf in class remains as Australia cruise thanks to Perry and Gardner. Pakistan bowled pretty well but dropped three catches. In reality they were a long way short with the bat as 118 was never enough. Perry gets an unbeaten half-century after opening the batting with Mooney not batting due to a niggle.
