10.10pm Rashid collects the trophy and celebrates with his team-mates under fire-work filled skies in front of a packed crowd at the Wanderers. That's all we have for you from SA20 2025. Thanks for tuning in. Until next time, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf of Thilak Ram. Goodbye and good night.

9.49pm Boult, Player of the Match: First of all, winning the toss. The boys have done fantastically with the bat this season. Very satisfying to get the job done with the ball. It [SA] is a beautiful place to play and the tournament is well followed. I thought it swung at the right time. To lift the trophy will be a great reward for a great season. The players stood up at different points.

Rashid collects the winners' cheque and flashes a big smile. "Absolutely the way we played throughout the tournament was brilliant," he says. "We had a couple of tough seasons and now winning is special. It's about how everyone responded under pressure. I think they deserve this. I feel we haven't played any selfish innings. If it's 10 or 15 runs, they have contributed. Whoever came played their natural game and it was very special to see. Great to have such a bowling line-up - KG, Boulty, Bosch and George. It gives me the advantage. Amazing to be back for MICT. Missed last season with a back injury and when I got a call before the season, I was asked if I want to lead the team and I said yes. Special occasion to be part of this MI family."

Markram collects the runners-up cheque. "I thought we tried hard and we knew we were going to be under the pump," he says. "Still thought the bowlers responded well and we thought it was chaseble. We would have liked to get ahead in the powerplay but they had world-class bowlers swinging it. MICT have been brilliant this season and they're deserved winners. Big congrats to them from all our boys. We scrapped and fought hard. We will take a lot of positives from this season."

Marco Jansen, Player of the Tournament: For me it's easy with Dale giving me advice. Whenever our bowlers got a chance - spin or pace - they impacted the game. Yes, I just try to learn from the top-order batters - Aiden and Stubbs are always willing to help. I always just try to do what I can to bring the team to a winning position. I just try to do my best whenever I walk onto the pitch.

Robin Peterson, MICT coach: I think the biggest thing is we gelled as a team. They played with a smile and aggression and made a lot of friendships which will last a long time. Proud of them, especially Rashid. I'm just chuffed that we walk away with the trophy and the spirit-of-cricket award.

Dewald Brevis, rising star of SA20 2025: Firstly, I want to use the opportunity to thank god for it. Really working hard and a few things I've changed. Last year was a bit of a rollercoaster and nice to contribute to a win. I love being part of all aspects of the game [catching, bowling, batting]. I just want to contribute for the team.

9.17pm Rashid: It feels amazing and unbelievable, especially after being at the bottom of the table in the last two years. So happy. I have no words. Something not good to hear and it's something that pumped me up as well. After that chat, my energy in the bowling was something different.

Rickelton: Incredible tournament. To finish last in the past two years and to win...What an icredible place to play. Mitch McClenaghan has been instrumental to our bowling plans. There's always time till tomorrow.

Rassie van der Dussen: Batting first, we knew there would be something in the wicket and we wanted to get to a good start. We were definitely nervous. We just try to assess as quickly as possible. We were confident coming into this pitch and we knew we had to take on the powerplay.

Bosch: Over the moon. The boys have played unbelievable cricket. My role was to bowl quick and do some death bowling. Mitch McClenaghan has been fantastic. To me, I'm over the moon and so proud to be part of a historic franchise. To Cape Town, the guys couldn't have done it without you.

Brevis: I was excited for today and had lot of things in my head before the final...I backed myself against the spin and wanted to throw the first punch. I'm just so stoked. Last season 2024 was a tough year, but this year I focussed on a few things and I have a few people to trust. I don't listen to too many voices.

Boult: Very special. I thought the boys were fantastic tonight. Haven't played much cricket in SA, but I know how competitive they are and there's a good unity about the side. I loved it, it has been great fun. I've played some franchise cricket around the world; it's right up there. Cape Town is a great place and cricket has been great fun. Hopefully, I can come back. I have 32 hours of flying back home.

Rabada: I think I was extra focussed today and we know Sunrisers are a good team and they can beat anyone on their day. I just wanted to make sure...I thought we were just about par on this ground and the bowlers controlled it. Rash and George did the hard yards in the middle to get the win. I love playing in SA and this league means a lot, especially to the younger players coming through. The fans are loving the entertainment and the players are giving them that entertainment.

Mustafa Moudi : "All the 5 Bowlers picked at least a Wicket while 3 Batsmen scored above 30. What a All Round Performance by MICT. Well Deserved Champions!!"

Srihari : "@Dvn Add two champions league wins as well to the list"

Dvn : "IPL X 5, WPL X 1, MLC X 1, ILT20 X 1 and now SA2O X 1.. What a successful franchise, MI are!

Andrea : "Congratulations MICT from a Capetonian in New York! "

Vishal Pawar : "Great to see MI Cape Town joining the legacy of MI family around the world! Huge fan of SA20. Love from India.
