That's all from us tonight on ESPNcricinfo. See you tomorrow for the second qualifier between SEC and Paarl Royals!
JSK captain du Plessis: "Our bowling stepped up all tournament but today one or two overs in the back end... that's the game of T20 cricket. I thought it was a good wicket. We gave a great fight with seven injuries this season. Good character from the guys."
Aiden Markram is the Player of the Match: "Today we got close to getting a complete game. Credit for executing. We've played a game here now and don't need to travel for the next game."
The two time defending champions survive the acid Test and keep their dreams of a three-peat alive. JSK crash out, losing to the same opponents that knocked them out in Qualifier 2 if SA20 in 2023. Baartman, Dawson, Overton, Jansen and Gleeson all stepped up tonight and took SEC home despite losing the toss. Markram with a beautiful innings in the evening too.
Md: "Bairstow shouldn't have played that rash shot, he could have taken JSK over the line."
Ajit: "SEC seem to always have the hustle for knock out games. Understanding of the pitch, effective bowling, and clutch moments. Kudos to Markram and his team. Also happy for Kaavya :-)"
