JSK captain du Plessis: "Our bowling stepped up all tournament but today one or two overs in the back end... that's the game of T20 cricket. I thought it was a good wicket. We gave a great fight with seven injuries this season. Good character from the guys."

The two time defending champions survive the acid Test and keep their dreams of a three-peat alive. JSK crash out, losing to the same opponents that knocked them out in Qualifier 2 if SA20 in 2023. Baartman, Dawson, Overton, Jansen and Gleeson all stepped up tonight and took SEC home despite losing the toss. Markram with a beautiful innings in the evening too.
