Keep an eye out for Gnasher's analysis from Brisbane and Tristan Lavalette's report. On behalf of Abhimanyu Bose and Chandan Duorah, thanks for being with us.

An incredible Test match. So many twists and turns. So much to unpack. But a superstar has been born in Brisbane. Shamar Joseph with a performance that will go down as one of the finest in Test history.

Pat Cummins was not asked about the declaration in the post-match presentation. No doubt he will be in the press conference coming up which Andrew McGlashan will be at. Ultimately, it may not have mattered. West Indies thoroughly outplayed Australia. They bowled better, batted better and caught better across the four days. 1-1 is a just scoreline. It is a pity we don't have a third Test to decide it.

haris: "why trophy is handed to AUS?" They retain the trophy as the previous holders given it is only a two-Test series.

Mark: "This is also the first time West Indies has beat Australia since the 418 world record chase." And the first time in Australia since 1997. It is also the first time Australia have lost a day-night Test. They were 11-0 before this game in pink-ball Tests.

Udaya Prakash : "Rodney Hogg .take a bow"

JOYDEEP GILL: "52 overs partnership between Hodge and da Silva changed the complexion of this match that partnership did set the platform for west Indies after that west Indies well capitalize it no one would've imagined west Indies can win this match when they were on 64/5 on very first day and this match will go to until 4th day " Great point Joydeep Gill. That partnership was critical on day one.

5.38pm Presentation

Pat Cummins: "Obvious disappointment after a loss but that was a fantastic Test match and a fantastic series. I thought in particular, Shamar, the way he bowled today, he was right up for it and unfortunately we weren't good enough. I think we were pretty confident coming into today. I thought our efforts yesterday were really good to try and chase 200-odd. I thought it was achievable. But yeah they had different ideas. They bowled beautifully and unfortunately just a bridge too far. [On Smith] I don't think we're surprised. We've seen it for 15 years from Smithy. He was fantastic. Almost dragged us over the line singlehandedly at the end. We've all played enough cricket to know this game humbles you pretty quickly even if you think you're on top of the world. You start from 0 for 0 at each game. I thought West Indies were fantastic. They outplayed us this week. Sometimes you always learn the lessons the hard way. Our Test group get about a month off before we go over to New Zealand. Any away tour is going to be tough. Looking forward to that one."

Kraigg Brathwaite: "We won a Test match in Australia. It does a lot for West Indies cricket. It means a lot. It's been a number of years since we've won a Test match here. But my message to the group is that this is the beginning. It's amazing, we enjoy this, but this has to continue. I'm extremely proud. I must say we had two words that inspired us in this Test match. Mr. Rodney Hogg said that we were 'pathetic and hopeless'. That was our inspiration. We wanted to show the world we're not pathetic. And I must ask him ask him, are these muscles big enough for him [Shows his biceps]. I knew I had Shamar probably an hour before play. The doctor said he got an injection and he's quite good and then he told me he's going to do it. I had to back him. He's a superstar and I know he'll do great things for West Indies in the future. Just his belief. It's a great example for this team to follow. As I said, this is the beginning. We have to continue and play with heart and keep fighting for West Indies. I would love more Test cricket for sure."

Player of the match and the series is Shamar Joseph. He receives the Richie Benaud Medal. He bows to the crowd.

Shamar Joseph: "I just want to shout out my teammates for their encouragement. I want to keep pushing through the pain for my team and the people of the Caribbean. The doctor called me this morning and he asked he how I'm feeling and I said I was in a lot of pain. He told me to come to the ground and he believed I could do it. When I took my five-for it was tears of joy and happiness."

5.35pm Joshua Da Silva: "Phenomenal. Words can't describe feeling. We all believed we could do it and we did."

Kemar Roach: "We knew it was going to take something special. I think that's the best winning spell I've seen. He's done something amazing for the people of the Caribbean."

Shamar Joseph: "Shout out for my teammates for their support. I wasn't even going to come to the ground today. But the doctor did something to my toe. I don't know what he did. But it worked. I just stuck to the basics. Stuck to the top of off. I feel like we win the entire series by winning this Test. Shout out to my teammates for their support. I cried for my five-wicket haul but I'm so happy now. I'm not even tired. I would have kept bowling."

Thili: "Great to see Australians being genuinely happy for Joseph and congratulating him despite the loss. "

anvay: "Spare a though for Steve Smith...could have been one of the greatest Test innings ever..."

Naman: "Gabba has been taken down..Once Again."

Chris Thurston: "As an Aussie, obviously sad for us, but I couldn't be happier for the West Indies! How do you not feel joy and excitement at what this young team, and Shamar Joseph in particular, have done. This will bring so much positivity in the cricket world to see West Indies play so well. This is fantastic for the game!"

Andy C: "A 7-for for WI in Australia : Gomez (1952) Roberts (1975) Ambrose (1993) Joseph (2024). Fitting company. "

5.25pm One of the greatest Test victories of all-time! An undermanned, underrated young West Indies team have knocked over the World Test Champions at the Gabba. Shamar Joseph, possibly with a broken toe, bowls 11.5 overs straight and takes 7 for 68. Castling four of them. Steve Smith is left 91 not out. Shamar Joseph gets a standing ovation from the small crowd. The Australians all congratulate him. Remember the name ... Shamar Joseph!

S Joseph to Hazlewood, OUT, West Indies win! Shamar Joseph flattens off stump! They charge off in celebration. Shamar Joseph takes seven! The West Indies huddle together. Brian Lara is nearly in tears in the commentary box! Perfect length, angled into middle and off, it straightens past the edge and flattens off! That is so good.
