Thanks for joining us today and for the participation through your comments. Do keep joining us for the remaining matches in the tournament. Before we leave one more thought on this game. It's by Trevor. He says, "Really pleased with the performance by Zimbabwe today. Certainly not their best but at least for my sake, there was no need for meds for those heart racing moments." Good night from all of us here and if you missed the match, please read the report by Deivarayan Muthu
Cremer: Bit nervous at half-time. We thought if we could get over 200 it was tough to chase. We thought we didn't have enough. Sikandar is man of the match. He stuck it out with the tail and that's tough. Crowd is huge for us. They keep turning out wherever we are. I hope they continue to do the same
Porterfield: We let ourselves down. We were confident at half-time.
Sikandar Raza is the Player of the match. He had this to say "I cannot believe this. When I got back to rooms after halfway stage, my head was down. My teammates said this was enough, we can fight. I was wanting to have a partnership but ran out Craig (Ervine). Blessing (Muzarabani) hanging out there was good. This trophy is presented to me, but it belongs to all of us. The crowd is actually the 12th man here "
At 26.6 overs in both the innings, there was a run-out. For both the teams it was their sixth wicket that went down. While Zimbabwe dug deep and added 99 runs to the total after the fall of sixth wicket, Ireland capitulated - losing their last 4 wickets 18 runs. Inexcusable really if you see they added a batsman to their team.
