Leask celebrates, unadulterated joy on his face, while the devastation on Ireland's is plain to see. This is huge for Scotland, not just for World Cup chances, but just the exhilaration of winning a match like that. Ireland will feel they've given this one away, and watched their World Cup hopes go up in smoke.

"We've had a few tough games against Ireland, so to get this against them is even more special" Leask says. "Watt played an absolute blinder of an innings too. We've got a great bunch of lads and this is just the start of our journey. This is how we'll play our cricket, we'll take things deep."

Prem: "King Charles , Please declare knighthood to Leask!!!!! He deserves it , for putting Scotland on the cricketing map!!'

Kenneth: "Michael Leask, the Scott McTominay and John McGinn of Scottish cricket!!"

There's a shout-out for Brandon McMullen too, who he calls "an absolute hero". Unsurprisingly named player of the match.

"The first ten overs when we were batting and the last ten overs when we were bowling took the game away from us," Balbirnie pithily sums up. "We'll lick our wounds here and go again next game. The plans were pretty clear and I can't be too critical of the bowlers, but I can't fault the bowlers too much. It's an uphill battle from here But I back our guys to be up to the mark"

"It's all the sweeter against Ireland," says Richie Berrington. "Absolutely delighted ti start things off with a win. We've had a good couple of weeks leading into this in South Africa coming into Zim. We'll look to keep building on this.

"It was very tense towards the end. Games like that keep you on the edge of their seat. I don't think we could have asked for a better start with the ball. McMullen was outstanding and I think he'll keep getting better. Wasn't feeling too great at one point but managed to get back onto the field." That might explain why he didn't bowl ten overs.

That's it from us here, see you again tomorrow!

Adair to Leask, FOUR, Scotland HAVE DONE IT! The luck of the Irish rubs off on Leask instead, whose inside edge runs away to the boundary! There will be bagpipes in Bulawayo tonight!

Prem: "What a cracker from both these teams, No matter who wins both of teams can be proud of the character shown in this game "

Adair to Sole, 1 bye, they've run a bye! It was banged in short and he decided to take the run0out risk and gets off strike. 2 off 1, Leask on strike

Nevanka: "Every World Cup, even the qualifiers, is just such a treat to watch. This is glorious. Love the passion the Associates have for their cricket. They deserve so much more praise for their fire and for grabbing every opportunity with both claws."

Adair to Sharif, OUT, another twist as Safyaan holes out! Top edged to short third. The new rules tmean the crossing doesn't matter, and the number 11 will be on strike. Huge opportunity for Ireland to steal this yet

Adair to Leask, FOUR, oh dear what's happened here? The fielder at long-on wanted to collect quickly but fumbles and it runs away for four. For that to happen to a fielder like Harry Tector shows what pressure can do!
