A one-sided affair today between these two but both teams will be chuffed that they made it through to the next stage. Heartbreak for Ireland though, who are out. Keep following the tournament here on ESPNcricinfo to stay afloat of all the surprises and excitement from the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier. For now, it's goodbye from me, Ekanth, my co-commentating report writer, Himanshu Agrawal, and our scorers, Sudeep Poojar and Chandan Duorah.

Richie Berrington, Scotland captain: Important win, knew it'd be tough. Good performance all round. It was a tricky first ten overs this morning, but the partnership put us in a good position. We knew all games would be tough. We had a few off-field challenges, we have a lot of belief. We've had three different matchwinners which shows our character. We know the importance of every point, so Tuesday's gonna be a big one against Sri Lanka. We have a lot of belief and know we need to get better with every game. Support has been great so far, hopefully that'll continue.

Zeeshan Maqsood, Oman captain: We haven't done well in the last games. Need to take the positives. Bilal and Fayyaz bowled well. We didn't bat well in the first half, but later Naseem's innings was a positive. Very proud of making the super sixes. We need to come back stronger. We have hope, we have done hard work. Our goal is to play in India, we will do well.

Brandon McMullen, POTM: Great day, great finish. Our bowlers were clinical. I was trying to keep it simple and do it my way. We need to play our best cricket, be more disciplined against Sri Lanka.

4:36pm: Scotland go up to six points. Due to Ireland's loss to Sri Lanka, both Oman and Sri Lanka will make it to the Super Sixes. Scotland were clinical today, McMullen's 136 set up their win. Then Jatinder getting stuck meant Oman were always behind. Ilyas and Ayaan showed some resistance. Sole was extremely disciplined and economical. Watt looked in good form. Greaves piled on the pressure with his five-for. Naseem and Shoaib delayed the inevitable with a spirited 105-run stand for the seventh wicket. But Scotland's win was never in doubt.
