That's that. India take a 1-0 lead but no without a late twist. But the damage was done by Suryakumar Yadav who slammed 80 off 42 balls. If you missed any of the game, Tristan's report will be in soon and you can recap the entire match. That's it from us today. Thanks for tuning in. Until next time, this is me Ashish Pant, signing off on behalf of Himanshu, Thilak and Ranjith. Good night and take care.

Suryakumar Yadav is the player of the match for his 42-ball 80: Very happy with the way the boys displayed the talent on the field. We were put under pressure, but the way everyone came back into the game, was great. [Captaincy] I think it's a proud moment, whenever you play cricket, you think of representing India, it will take some time to sink in but very proud. [Thought at mid-innings] I just felt there will be some dew but, there was none. I knew the ground was small. We thought we will be chasing 230, but the bowlers put us back. We just wanted to be positive. [Batting] Just enjoy and express yourself. I told Kishan one thing, just keep batting, don't think of the target. After 10 overs, it was a tailor-made situation. We knew what would happen later on. I left the [captaincy] luggage in the dressing room. I just tried to enjoy my batting, whether I am batting 10 or 40 balls. There was great support from the ground. [Message after he got out] I told them not to take the the game too deep. The way the boys kept their nerve was great to see. It was a tailor-made situation for Rinku. His composure relaxed me also. [Mukesh's last over] The way all three fast bowlers pulled us back into the game after 16 overs. Incredible achievement.

Matthew Wade, the Australia captain: It was a good match in the end. Inglis played a terrific innings. The young Indian players played a great innings. [At mid-innings] Just to control what we can control. We had plans, but it is easier said that done. We bowled pretty well. Behrendorff and Sangha were great. A lot of positives to take out of it. I was speaking to him [Inglis] if he wanted to go down, don't think that will happen. A great knock. [After Surya's wicket] We wanted to hang in. Ellis bowled a great over. It got down to the last ball. All credit to us and teh boys for hanging in.

Here's Ashish for the presentations.

Ishan Kishan: "Bowlers did a great job. We were put under pressure... Credit to Mukesh Kumar, the way he bowled. Everyone was eager to do well for the team, especially Rinku - it was his first game against a big team. Credit goes to Surya bhai for the way he played. He was taking on the bowlers... Plan was to give just 15-odd runs to the bowlers. The ball in which I got out, he was asking me to take a single. The communication was very good. Really happy because it's a young side. We'll make mistakes, but hopefully we'll come back stronger as a bowling unit."

10.45pm India go 1-0 up in a thrilling start to the T20I series. Stand-in captain Suryakumar leads the show with 80 from only 42 balls - that included nine fours and four sixes - with Kishan cracking 58 off 39, and young Rinku finishing it off in the fashion he showed in the IPL this year. Looking back, that crucial last over bowled by Mukesh Kumar ends up making a big difference, as Inglis' 110 goes in vain.

Abbott to Singh, 1 no ball, six over long-on! We've seen this sight before: Rinku finishing a T20 off with a six. But, and for whatever that's worth, it was a no-ball, so the six won't count; only the run off the no-ball will. Abbott bowled right in the slot around middle stump, inviting Rinku to loft down the ground. He went ahead, and ended up depositing the ball way beyond the boundary

1 from 1. Rinku on strike, with Mukesh at the other end.

Sumesh: "Super over"

Abbott to Singh, 1 run, OUT, another run-out chance! And by Abbott and Arshdeep's reactions, the latter could be short. But the third umpire will confirm. Wow, he is well short! India lose three wickets in three balls. It was a short delivery around middle and leg, as Rinku had a swing with a pull shot. The ball went wide of long-on, whose throw to Abbott was a little wide of the stumps. But Abbott took it and banged the stumps to find Arshdeep short

Malik Murad: "A twist in the tale. What a match!"

Abbott to Ravi Bishnoi, OUT, Bishnoi is run-out at the bowler's end! But importantly for India, Rinku will be on strike next ball. Abbott bowled it short outside off, getting it to climb sharply. Bishnoi looked to pull but missed, and the batters ran almost blindly. Wade had a go at the stumps at his end but missed; but Abbott collected the throw, and hit the stumps at the other end to find Bishnoi short

Ravi Bishnoi run out 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Bishnoi on strike. India need 2 from 3 balls.

Abbott to Patel, OUT, Abbott takes a good catch to keep India waiting! He ended quite a few steps behind from where he delivered the ball, with the ball dropping over his shoulder. Axar looked to pull this shortish ball around middle and off, but got a top edge. The ball popped up, and with the mid-on fielder almost rushing in, Abbott did well

Abbott to Singh, 1 bye, beaten by the ball, but they get a bye as Wade fumbles. Short of a length outside off, as Rinku looked to swat but missed. The ball trickled to short third's right off Wade's body

Tanishka: "Rinku, pls wrap it up in the next two balls since it's way past my bed time now"

Abbott to Singh, FOUR, flashed over point! Short and angling across to end pretty wide of off, as Rinku went chasing it far away from his body. The ball did go off the top half of the bat, but was wide enough of the point fielder leaping to his left

India need seven, and here comes Abbott. Mid-on is up.
