6.04pm What a game this Test cricket is. India were going along so serenely, and Jaiswal had just brought up the century stand with Kohli with a rasping square cut. And then... well, everything went haywire to the extent that ESPNcricinfo's ball-by-ball page crashed. India were 153 for 2, then Jaiswal was out following an awful mix-up with Kohli, and they end the day 164 for 5. Thirteen runs, three wickets. This is Test cricket. And Australia are in a tremendous position to push hard for a big lead, possibly even bowl India out short of the follow-on mark. That number, 275, is still 111 runs away.
Anyway, that's it from me and Gnasher and Thilak for the day. We'll be back tomorrow, so do join us as we continue to follow the ebbs and flows of this enthralling contest. See you then!
vaduthalajohny : "cricinfo has to be blamed for the indian breakdown, both went south at the same time!"
Nisarg: "Questions will be raised about Kohli's incommunicado involvements in run outs and Pant not shielding Akash Deep enough. What a way to lose grip on the match and WTC hopes. Big face palm moment! " -- The point of a nightwatcher is to shield the specialist batters, not the other way round.
Srikanth: "Even team India had back-end-of-the-day glitch. Such a disappointing end!"
I think we're back now. Apologies for the technical glitch.
