28.5 Mix-up and do they have the break through here? Yes they do! Sri Lanka have shot themselves in the foot! This was easily cut into the covers, and they ease a single. Madushka thinks there's a second here and turns back, but there's some yes, no, yes. Madushka is sent back when he's already halfway down the pitch. Not even a dive saves him as the throw is brilliant, right over the stumps 96/1
55.1 Mahmud breaks through! Gentle length delivery, angling across the batter outside off. Karunaratne looks at the width and throws his hands at it. Does not commit to the stroke as well as he would have wanted, though, and because he is playing away from his body, he ends up dragging it back onto his stumps. First wicket in Test cricket for Mahmud, and this is just what Bangladesh would have wanted before the tea interval! 210/2
71.3 Edged and Bangladesh finally hold on to one! Shakib gets one to grip and it takes the edge high on Mendis' bat as he pushes forward. But there's still a lot to be done, as Mehidy flings himself to his right at slip and grabs this with both hands. Excellent take 263/3
80.6 edged and taken at the second attempt! Back of a length delivery in that probing corridor outside off. Mathews does not know whether to play at it or leave it. In the end, he hangs out his bat. The ball takes the outside edge adn floats to Mehidy at third slip, who juggles it initially but holds on. Just what Bangladesh would have been after, having taken the new ball! 289/4
105.2 edged and gone! Beautiful bowling! Tossed up devilishly on a full length outside off. Drifts in, drops on the batter late and draws Chandimal into a prod in front of his body. The ball grips and rags away, kissing the outside edge on its way to the keeper. Vital breakthrough for Bangladesh, it is important that they keep chipping away! 375/5
118.3 Khaled strikes early doors! It's another one that has jagged back from a back of a length. The bounce is also low and that surprises DDS who is caught on the crease, as this strikes him just above the knee roll on the front pad in front of middle. DDS is on his toes as well, but its not enough to save him as replays show umpire's call on wickets hitting. Perfect start after lunch and Bangladesh are into the tail 411/6

141.5 Big appeal, and given! Tossed up again, on a length on middle and off. Comes back in with the angle and beats Jayasuriya on the inside as he plays for the turn. Gets pinned on the front leg and Rod Tucker raises his finger. The only question here is whether this was sliding down with the angle. Did not look so on first glance. No bat involved, and Ball Tracking shows it would have crashed into the inside of leg stump! Bangladesh have their seventh, at long last! 476/7
151.5 A rare bit of fielding brilliance gets the breakthrough! Good length, goes back and tucks this towards square leg for a drop and run. But Shanto has hared in from the circle, picked it up and under-armed it right on to the striker's stumps. Outstanding work from the skipper, and Vishwa is short despite a despairing dive 497/8
156.3 Castled! Kumara goes for the big slog sweep and he misses this straight one. Mehidy breathes a visible sigh of relief. 45 overs and he finally has a wicket for his tireless efforts 518/9
158.6 has Asitha been run out?! Fullish just outside off. Kamindu advances and pushes it back to the bowler, who gathers and then throws down the stumps. Asitha, in anticipation of a quick single, backs up far too much and cannot get back in time. Short by inches, and Sri Lanka have been bowled out for 531, with Kamindu stranded on 92! 531/10

12.3 hot knife through butter! Catch Lahiru Kumara if you can! Hard length on off. Extracts movement off the surface and this decks back sharply. Joy has no clue about it and is awfully late on the stroke, having been caught on the crease because of the length. Bat does not come down in time and he hears the death rattle soon after. Kumara is pumped, and wheels away in celebration. This is just what SL would have wanted before the close of play! 47/1
32.5 what a delivery! Viswha has knocked him over. That's jagged in a long way to take out leg stump, and Sri Lanka have a breakthrough. Vishwa delivered this from quite wide on the crease, from over the wicket to the left-hander. The ball pitched on a length, and Hasan was guilty of not moving his feet, so when the ball darted back at him, he was in a terrible position to adjust. In the end it slips between pad and bat to flatten leg. Vishwa is ecstatic. He'd set that up by bowling the ones that went away a touch in the last couple of overs. 96/2
36.4 the inducker is wreaking havoc here! Again a stump is out of the ground (off stump this time) after jagging back between bat and pad. This is bowled from wide of the crease over the wicket again, and once more the movement off the pitch back at the stumps is too much for the batter to deal with. Vishwa is helping Sri Lanka get a tight grip on this match. 105/4
35.4 directly to the straight-ish short midwicket in the air. Sri Lanka have wangled another one through their field placements. This is floated up on the stumps again, Shanto shuffles forward and tries to clip it through leg, but he's through the shot a touch early, and sends it in the air, straight into the midriff of Dimuth Karunaratne, who has been posted there for just such a shot. 101/3
66.4 big lbw shout and given! The question is whether this yorker was sliding past leg. It looked marginal, and Mominul - unsurprisingly - reviews. This is speared in from around the wicket by the right-arm seamer bowling to the left-handed batter. Mominul tries to clip it through midwicket, but misses, and is struck in front of middle. Ball projection shows it is going on to shave leg stump, so the batter has to go. Asitha gets a lot of wickets with the yorker. 175/9
44.2 perfect planning, and perfect execution! After pushing Shakib back, Asitha goes for the knockout punch and bowls it much fuller on off stump. Shapes back in with the angle and Shakib, trapped on the crease looking for the short ball, plays all over it. Gets thumped on the front pad, and Rod Tucker raises his finger. Shakib has reviewed this. Was it doing too much? Ball Tracking reckons it would have clipped the outside of leg stump. Umpire's Call and Shakib has to go! 126/5
44.5 edged and gone! Asitha has two in the over! Superb bowling this. In the corridor of uncertainty. A bit of nibble away off a length, and Litton does not know whether to play at it or leave it. Feels for it in the end and the ball kisses the outside edge, floating its way through into Kusal Mendis' gloves. Sri Lanka all over Bangladesh now! 130/6
52.6 snaffled up excellently at second slip! Probing back of a length delivery in the channel. Jags away just a smidgen and Shahadat follows it away from his body. Gets a healthy outside edge that arrows towards second slip, where Kamindu dives forward to his left and seems to gobble it up. The third umpire, though, has been called into action. The fingers are on the ground and the hands are together too, the umpire says, concluding the ball has not been grounded. Kumara has his second; Bangladesh seven down now! 148/7
61.6 slider, and is that crashing into the stumps? The umpire thinks so. This was beautifully set up by Jayasuriya, who had bowled some nice deliveries that left the right-hander in the previous over. This one he bowls with more of a scrambled seam, and it pitches just outside off and goes on with the arm to beat Mehidy's forward prod and hit him on the pad. Mehidy reviews though. Think the review is more in hope than anything, because he hasn't edged it, and the line looks very good. Yep, it's crashing into the middle of middle. Bangladesh lose their eighth, and also burn a review. They have just one left. 165/8
68.4 doesn't keep this one out. For the fourth time this innings, a stump is lying flat on the ground. There's a bit of reverse swing there at 137kph, and it curves into the base of middle stump, and Khaled's bat comes down too late. Sri Lanka have wrapped this up smartly. 178/10

12.5 and Madushka hits it straight to extra cover! Dug in short outside off and this seems to come off much slower than Madushka expects. He is trying to ride the bounce and cut it through point but the lack of pace means that he lobs it straight to Mehidy, who had been put in that position moments ago. Madushka is disconsolate, but he has to walk back! 60/3
1.5 chops it on! Hard length just outside off. Karunaratne thinks he can cut this away but the ball seams back in just enough to cramp him for room. Swishes at it anyway and the ball skews off the inside edge, straight into his stumps. Mahmud has Karunaratne again, and this is just what Bangladesh would have hoped for! 12/1
2.5 another chop-on! Full and hung up outside off, inviting the booming drive. Mendis does so away from his body and does not really go at it with conviction. Reaches out well in front of his body and all he manages is an inside edge onto his stumps. Bangladesh has two very early in the piece! 15/2
35.2 Shakib gets Mathews! And it's an absolute peach at that! This pitched on middle and leg, drew Mathews forward and then just rips it past the forward defence to clip the top of off. And for those wondering, no, there were no animated celebrations 132/7
14.4 he's gone now! Chandimal's stay is short. Batters keep falling like flies on day four. A very un-Chandimal like shot early in his innings. That was a short of a length ball outside off, and Chandimal gets into a muddle and pushes at it without the requisite footwork. Ends up edging it to first slip who first gets hands to it above head height, juggles it, and completes the catch on the second grasp. 72/4
16.3 gone! That's five down and even DDS who has been superb this series is undone by Hasan Mahmud's tight lines and probing lengths. This is beautifully in the channel again - about a fifth-stump line. The batter tries to feel for it. Ends up giving a feather edge that travels nicely into the gloves of Litton Das. Mahmud has four. He's thrilled. 78/5
19.6 Khaled Ahmed thinks this is out. Huge appeal for caught behind, but turned down. Shanto reviews. It's a good ball on a sixth-stump line outside off, pitching full. Kamindu plays a drive and there's no obvious noise, but wait a minute... Ultra-Edge has picked up a faint nick. Kamindu will have to go. his first sub-50 score. Good review from Shanto (who hasn't had the best time with reviews this Test). 89/6

9.5 Jayasuriya bursts through! The natural variance does the trick. This was just on the border of a good length pitching on off. Joy goes back to cut, but this one just skids on after pitching. Joy is way too late on the shot and the middle stump is flattened 37/1
14.6 Pouched at slip! The persistent pays off! Again back of a length, angling in outside off. Hasan probably thinking about that first innings ball that nipped back, can't help but push at this. But this time it holds its line and takes a thick edge, one that DDS at first slip takes comfortably 51/2
26.2 What an absolute corker from Kumara! That ball deserved a wicket every day of the week. Incredible stuff. Back of a length, angled in. This pitches around off, has Shanto playing down the wrong line and just crashes into the top of off past the back foot defence. A deserved wicket for Kumara's spell so far 94/3
33.1 he's gone! Caught in the deep sweeping. Jayasuriya gives this a little air, and Mominul plays the hard, flat sweep to a ball that pitches just outside off. I think it's the overspin that's forced the mistake, because he'd tried to keep that along the ground, but it's bounced more than expected, and he hits it in the air to Lahiru Kumara at deep square leg, who's standing well in from the boundary for just that mistake. 132/4
49.4 sharp catch at gully. Kamindu gets the breakthrough! That's his first Test wicket and Kamindu is ecstatic. What a series he's had. It's the turn he generates that surprised Shakib. This was a flattish delivery that pitched outside off and was turning away. Shakib tried to open the face and carve it through point, but it's turned more than he expected and it comes off a thick outside edge and flies very quickly to Madushka who does well to cling on near his shoulder. Shakib is livid at himself. 193/5
52.5 Edged and Litton has thrown it away! This was another short one, a fair bit outside off. Litton can't help but go for the pull. He tries to get over this, but the ball holds up in the surface and all he ends up doing is getting an under edge through to Mendis behind the stumps. The ball is dying on the keeper mind, and he does extremely well to spring forward and hold on 197/6
61.3 And Kamindu has another! Shahadat went back to one that he probably should've come forward to, as this was on a good length. It spun in from outside off and looks to have struck him in front of middle. This looks pretty plumb, and indeed it's crashing into leg stump! 243/7

71.5 And Kamindu breaks yet another stand! This was tossed up outside off, draws Taijul into the drive and this spins away sharply to catch the outside edge. But there's still a ton of work to be done and Nishan Madushka at a close in gully snaffles this brilliantly to his right. Phenomenal reaction speed 281/8
82.4 And the bouncer does the trick! Too good for Mahmud. Bouncer into the body, and all Mahmud can do is fend this away. Just pops up to Madushka for an easy grab 312/9
84.6 can't keep this one out though! Kumara finishes things off with a yorker, and completes a four-wicket haul. This was perfectly in the blockhole and headed towards off stump. Khaled, to his credit, did get the bat down, and did make contact, but was late with the shot and only deflected it back on to his pads, and then into middle and leg. 318/10
