Another series win for Australia. They keep finding people, they keep finding ways to do it. You can read all about it here on ESPNcricinfo. Thanks for joining us. On behalf of my co-commentating report writer, Himanshu Agrawal, and our scorers, Chandan Duorah and Harshith Gowda, I'm Ekanth, quoting Alyssa Healy for the sign-off: "See you in 2024!"
Annabel Sutherland, POTM: It was good fun. It was a team effort in the field. All the way, we held our nerve as much as possible. Phoebe took a couple of screamers and was outstanding. (Favourite wicket) I tried to keep the stumps in play, so the bowled [Amanjot] was great. It was cool to do that at the end. Nice for the skip to have faith in me. I just try to read the game as much as possible. Done a lot of work with the bowling coach. Lot of practice and experience from games at home and around the world helps. I thought it was a tricky wicket to start on. There was spin and it was slower than in the last game. I thought we were under par but Alana was unbelievable and we took momentum off the back of her hits. Phoebe's was a tough innings, she grinded things out which we needed to put up the total.
Alyssa Healy, Australia captain: I need a defib, got very close in the end. Credit to our girls to find ways to win in a tough situation. We felt a bit short with our score. Took some momentum with Alana's hitting. We lost many wickets late but took wickets and defended it. We just hang in there, something about Australian teams. We fight till the last ball. We still believed we can win till the last ball and that's what made us successful. Things didn't go our way. We dropped catches and let ourselves down there but our energy has been unbelievable. People probably forget we've seen a lot of changes in the last 12-18 months, yet we keep producing players who are ready for international cricket. They're learning as they go out there but are still contributing. So, a credit to our domestic system and the team culture.
Harmanpreet Kaur, India captain: We bowled really well. We knew we had to keep looking for wickets. Lots of positives. I know they took the game away. I'm proud of the team, the way we played. We needed a bit more awareness late in the chase. Richa played really well, Jemimah helped her in the middle. We know Australia have a long batting line-up. Stopping them under 300 was a positive. We knew we could've chased it but didn't show enough awareness in the middle overs. Dropped catches are part of the game. We are playing under a lot of heat and back to back, it's part of the game. It's always important how we bounce back. We keep letting the bowlers know they're doing a great job and that we're trying our best to support them.
Mustafa Moudi : "Though India ended up losing the series, they gave a great fight tonight compared to the last match. Hope they prevent the clean sweep next match !!"
Phoebe Litchfield: Was a big challenge, you probably saw me struggling. Credit to their spinners, they bowled well on a challenging pitch. But 250 was par, and I rest easy knowing that. Batting with Perry is a dream. She takes the pressure off me and lets me do my thing. Hope we have many more. You saw Ash's first over, she didn't get much spin, but it started ragging in the 15th on her return. Was easier at the top and the spinners did an awesome job in the middle. [Deepti catch] Felt pretty good. To hold onto that in a pressure situation. Mom probably clapped, laughed, got camera shy laughs reacting to it. We had to hold our chances under pressure at the death. We bowled amazingly, Ash and Sutherland held their nerve.
9:16pm Hugs and cheers among the Australian team. They've pulled off a thriller in the post-Lanning era. It's hard to account for all the dropped chances in the end but India's 7 is definitely above Australia's 4. King's boundaries in the last over of the first innings were huge. The chase started decently for India with Smriti and Yastika. Garth removed Yastika with Healy's help with the DRS. Mandhana was fluent, she tried to take on King first ball but holed out. Then Jemimah joined forces with Ghosh. The latter struggled to get going but got chances and persevered. Jemimah compensated and ensured India kept ticking along. Wareham got Jemimah and Harman.
