12.00pm HSC has turned into a swamp. It's dark, gloomy. The rain continues to fall and the covers are firmly on. And yes, we've started losing overs.
11.40am Absolutely hosing down in Harare. So much that you can't see the far end. Puddles of water on the outfield already. Bleak scenes but better weather forecast for the afternoon.

11.14am Massive roar of thunder and a clap of lightning. Umpire Adrian Holdstock doesn't think it's safe enough to continue. The ground staff come rushing in with the covers. There's no rain just yet, but this is seen as a proactive move to ensure the much of the surface and the adjoining areas are covered before the torrential rain hits.
